I have been hosting a ftb server with a few friends for the past three months via my home desktop and port map(the mac application). We haven't been on for a while (exams), and yesterday, I decided to change the mods around. I added flans mod, balkons weapons... etc. I started it, tested em all out, no crashes. I then told my friend that the server was up, I gave him the new mod pack, he put in my old ip, and nope... no connection, I was annoyed.
NEEDED INFO: I just got a new modem a few days ago: xfinity, sca.
I use the airport extreme as a router
My portmap is showing the IP: 10.0.0.x on the display- this I know is not my external ip.
My external ip is like 56243.xxxx.xx
My router is compatible with port map,
I have the correct port in both server.properties, and portmap
I can connect via the ip on the portmap display with the correct port, and localhost, but not with my external ip that I found on this site; http://ip-lookup.net
If you have any ideas help out!! and if you want to join me server, just ask. We currently have 116 mods, and around 7-8 players. it is a hostile server.
