If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Title:
Ftb Infinity Evolved teribly slow
Launcher Version:
1.4.11
Modpack:
Infinity Evolved
Modpack Version:
2.3.5
Log Link:
Details of the issue:
Im trying to play this modpack, but it is very slow. Whenever i make a world and try to play it, it takes like 10 minutes before i can start doing something. Is this normal? Are there any mods that are recommended to have disabled? (Biomes o plenty?)

My system i: 5Gb ram, Hd 6670 GPU and G3258 CPU at 4.0 I'll provide a log soon

How about mods? Can i safely disable Biomes o plenty? And how about Botania and Journey map? And will it increase performance?

Please follow the guide and launch the pack as well before posting the log.

A new world = lag, when loading the chunks - or if you're exploring.

I would be careful with disable mods in this pack, lots is tied together.

I uploaded the log after logging in to the game

Also, why don't i have this lagg with FTB Unleashed?

With infinity my whole game freezes and laggs for a good 5-10 min

I started the game, logged onto my world, took a few steps, closed it, clicked upload log.

That aside, is there anything that i can do? afaik, my settings are already at low. is Infinity just a mod that require a good pc? What's the best next thing after Infinity? (with Ic2)

Try and provide a new log then, something isn't right - that log only shows you starting the launcher.

To run Infinity Evolved pretty smooth you need ~4GB of RAM and when you got the log you had ~3GB free
Code:
[13:01:29] [INFO] MainHelpers.printInfo:49: System memory: 2436M free, 5048M total

Well, my PC has 5 Gb ram total. Would changing the ram allocation in the ftb launcher help? its at 2gb now

Apparently Journeymap is a resource hog, can i disable it?

Nah, im afraid my pc simply can't handle it. I put ram allocation at 3.25Gb, tried to play and still had a bit of lag. Cpu usage was at 50% while ram at 94%

Try and reboot your computer and don't open a lot of other applications when playing.

And a fair bit of lag on a new world while it loads is normal, so perhaps wait it out and see if it gets better.

Nah still not working properly. Its probably due to my 5gb ram. I was planning on buying more ram soon anyway, so would adding another 8 gb improve things? How about my cpu? is it good enough? G3258 @ 4.0

cpu should be fine. Get the ram and dedicate about 4GB to the game. It would best if you are using windows to make sure it has 4GB as well. So make sure you wind up with at least 8GB of system memory.
