FTB infinity evolved Join error?

So im trying to play FTB with my roommate but he keeps getting the same error no matter what we do.

We get the error, Attempting connections with missing mods [] at CLIENT

He has the exact same files as me same launcher same modpack everything.

I've googled this issue and ive been searching reddit posts for about 4 days now and i can't find anything on how to fix this?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest both of you reload the mod pack. Obviously there is something wrong. The other option would be to have you both use the curse voice launcher instead.

What he said. I take it you're doing this over LAN? It might be worth trying to have a dedicated machine.

Sorry i probably should have been more specific.

I'm hosting the game on a server on my pc. I can join the server just fine but he gets the error Attempting connections with missing mods [] at CLIENT.

We both just fresh installed the ftb launcher/infinity modpack.

Try the curse voice launcher instead. of the FTB launcher. Obviously something isn't installing correctly. Also, make sure you are using the version of the pack.

I think you mean the same version?
