Firstly, I hope that this is posted in the correct forum to get some help. I had no issues on my mac before, and nothing but problems now.

Recently switched from a mac to a PC, re downloaded FTB and running java 64 bit. 16gb of ram with 2.25 gb allocated to minecraft and windows 7 professional 64 bit. Graphic settings are set to fast and performance, render distance normal. Default texture pack.

The crash happens as follows: I started a new world, in Overload, ran around for a few minutes gathering things, then severe lag hit, then crash. the crash log is http://pastebin.com/PkzDVvQb . Thought this was an issue with leaves rendering in a forest, so i attempted to create a superflat world. In this case, it was an insta-crash, didn't even load into the game.

Trying to find the source of the problem, i moved to another pack, unleashed, same issues there as well as the DW20 pack. I even tried adding the perm size to the advanced settings in the launcher, no change in the crashes as well as changing the amount of ram allocated. I don't believe this is a memory issue as when available, F3 is up and it (at the most) runs at 15-25%. There isn't anything else using RAM when running MC.

From what it looks like the error is with chicken chunks? Not sure on that but it says there's a server error. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated!

(The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open)
This is a known error that is caused by some AV programs. If your AV has an exceptions list add the mod pack folder to it.

That didn't work, I added it to my exception list and it was smooth for about 15 seconds. Sam log as the original post and it says " Exception in server tick loop" in the crash message. As well as http://pastebin.com/6pdxc54u that log from the console.

You added the folder 'C:\Users\Blame H9\Desktop\OverLoad\' to the AV exceptions list fixed at least that one error. Though I'm surprised that a similar error would also happen to a different file in the folder. When I look at your second log it appears to have many errors. So many that I'm not sure what is causing the problem or if it is many all at once.

I just have to ask since this is a third party mod pack did you add any extra mods to the pack? If so try removing those extra mods with a force update. Then add the mods one by one to see when the error happens and what the error is. I would also suggest following this guide to install the launcher and packs the recommended way. Be sure to change your exceptions list once you do.

One thing of note that does stick out is that I see a few PermGen memory errors. Try adding some arguments to the launcher. Thankfully this is a new world and not one you've been playing on. Good luck with getting the mod pack working.

Nope, I used the recommended install instructions and did not add any other mods to the modpack as it came. I attempted to use those arguments, and it just shut down the internal server, didn't even load into the game.

Something has changed, In the console it now says java exception out of perm gen space.

attempting to add an exception into the perm gen size now, will post log if crash again

----Edit----
Just changed the perm size, everything checks out fine was playing for about 10 minutes with 0 problems. thanks for all the suggestions/help
