Hello

On my server we are having problems with peoples harvesters and planters randomly stopping if you leave the chunk, even if it is chunk loaded. To fix this you have to break and replace them.

A similar problem is with quarries in which they will stop working after a while until you reload the chunk.

Pack: Direwolf20 1.6.4
Using Cauldron-1.6.4

Any suggestions to fix would be appreciated.

Are these machines using TE energy conduits? Redstone energy conduits have an ongoing bug where they randomly stop transferring power. It's solved by breaking and replacing the connection.

It's why I stick to Mekanism's universal cables and enderIO's conduits, they don't have the same issue.

What modpack? What version? I know this happent in monster v1.1.1 which my fix was: don't use them

Yes, we are using redstone energy conduits. I'll take a look into this.

For my tree farm however I am using tesseracts. If I break the planter/harvester and replace it fixes and starts again.

What would you suggest as a long term solution for this?

Use Ender IO energy conduits. They do the same thing as redstone energy conduits(even converting to MJ), and are less buggy.

Hi Wagon, we are using the Direwolf20 modpack so do not have that.

We are also using Cauldron but don't think this will affect it.

Chunkload all your RECs. This way they they wont bug out when you move around or during startup. Make sure the whole network is covered. Or if you need to use RECs on small off site locations, then keep them within the same chunk.

You can also use Extra Utils energy transfer nodes/pipes(which do 32krf/t) or Rednet energy cables(which do 1000 rf/t but can also convert to EU.)

Using Rednet energy cables didn't work. The tree farm harvester and planter just stops after a while when you are not there, even if everything is loaded...
