that reminds me about the story of a boy in the dark age or something.
He was the son of a poor farmer and he liked sweets(who doesn't) but his dad had never enough money to buy candy.
One day someone dropped some out of the horse cart, the boy ran towards it to pick them up, scaring the horses in the process, it became his dead. His dad then had to say sorry to those who where riding in the cart.

and ninjad a few times >_>

Oh, the boy became a ghost and was stuck at the place his dad buried him and he didn't know he was a ghost. He saw his family eat through a window, and no one saw him.
He stays this way for ages(not kidding, the book said so and normal cars became a thing) and saw his family die, his old home becoming a ruin and was always stuck outside in the cold nights and rainy days. He eventually managed to get candy and found it disgusting however it also became the end of his ghost time.

I also know about a story where a village got wolf problems. Their solution was to kill one, remove its skin and put a child in it.
The child got adopted in the pack(somehow) and learned why the wolves caused problems.
When talking to his fellow humans about it they only laughed and didn't want to help the wolves.
Eventually the child became one with the wolves as he liked them more then his fellow humans and I believe he died from a hunter, maybe his own family but not sure about that.

I don't get why one of the tags translates to vampires as it is only about wolves and werewolf's
