Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a little input on my base i recently started. I am using the unleashed 1.5 pack. I am usually not a very creative person so i end up in 9x9 houses. Im pretty proud of my base so far (only been a few days) i feel like im missing something so i brought it here to see what others think.

I plan to have another wing off the other side for uu production, the platform on the top is for thuamcraft. first floor is for machinery, 2nd floor is for my AE stuff, top floor is for non powered mods, basement is for power generation) don't have any machines set up yet, ive been just working on the base. Also if you look at the mini map my base is a giant diamond. For me this is very creative.

Im looking for some input and possibly some suggestions for future (im also in the middle of terra forming the whole area.)

Terraforming is a good idea. Your smeltery bit could use some supports so it actually looks like it shouldn't just fall off. The building could also use some shrubbery around the bottom and some random designs in the walls. Some additional non-connected structures would also help to make it look a bit more natural.

Supports on the smeltery is a good idea. I should of said i was going for a clean industrial look. I also am still building, terraforming and machinery is my next step, i only have a pulverizer and a powered furnace.

For the industrial look I would suggest instead of open pathways to different buildings to use an iron like block as the floor and maybe the walls with a glass roof and maybe walls or windows in the walls. Sort of that advanced tech kinda feel.

I should of taken a picture before i left the house today, but i was using the smelting quarried stone block for the floor. I thought it looked nice. I was only planing on having the 2 paths off either side, 1 for the smeltery, one for uu (so i can slap a couple of solars and forget about it). When i get around to raiding the stronghold thats 150 blocks from base and adding some random cracked and mossy stone to the building. Not sure if that would look good, but thats the good thing with minecraft, try something like it and keep it, or don't and change it.[DOUBLEPOST=1383599917][/DOUBLEPOST]
Missing something!?! It's OCD unfriendly! It burns my eyes so much... :p

like i said ive only played for like 5-6 hours, its no where near done. its a good thing i don't do any youtube stuff, i like the stuff that drives most ocd people nuts :D

Try out Iron Scaffolding for the supports. And if you right-click on them with an Iron Fence, they'll solidify if you prefer that look. Very industrial looking.

The easiest way to make a build look 'good'is to make it look like it can structurally stand in the real world... I suggest supports for the smeltery and maybe expanding that platform and using a dome instead of that square pyramid
