First mod for minecraft ever?

The First public mod was made way back right before the indev versions, it didn't have a name, but all it did, is make you mine stone faster. the first mod that wasn't public I think was an inventory editor.
 
Lol... So, technic was the first pack, it came out before minecraft was released. Im sure it was coded using computercraft
