Alright, so it's as the title says; I can't get any pack to run with my Feed The Beast launcher. Now, I'm not a noob to this or anything, I've played with FTB before, and I have an Ultimate server for me and my friends. However, after using some tools to clean my pc of viruses and updated my java to the newest version, I can't get any pack -- or my server -- to run. I've tried using the force download option and even just deleting the folders altogether to download fresh. However, nothing seems to work, and I'm running out of ideas. I could post a log file if requested, just tell me what kind.

Edit: I should mention that normal Minecraft works just fine.

A console log posted to pastebin.com and linked here would work. Look here for more info about the logs. Please follow the recommended set-up guide for installing the launcher and the packs.

'Tried to recreate an item id (13103 / shifted:13359) for an item which already exists as forestry.core.items.ItemForestry@7ae62000. Check your config and resolve the conflict.'
These appear to be BlockID conflicts. I'm pretty sure that once you get these conflicts out of the way your game will run. Check out your console log to see if there are any more and change your configs according to the guide.

Well, that sounds like it makes sense, but here's the thing: these configs are being created by feed the beast itself. If I'm getting a fresh new download for this modpack, then there shouldn't be any conflicts in the ids, correct? And like I said, I have a server as well, so if I were to manually fix the id conflicts myself, they would more than likely conflict with the block ids my server is using.

Bumping with more info

Although it seems to be a different mod breaking on startup every time, I see one line that appears frequently throughout every log:

java.net.MalformedURLException: no !/ found in url

Does this have any meaning to you guys? I'll post a new crashlog anyway: http://pastebin.com/0PMPzQyp

Here are some ideas I'm throwing out there. Try reinstalling the launcher, the mod packs and Java again. Does this only happen on the server or does this happen in SSP as well? Which AV program do you have? Check out this guide the 'Other USEFUL Information:' section first paragraph. Do you have any proxy connection to the internet?

  • I've already tried reinstalling the launcher, packs, and java
  • Happens when I try to launch the game, can't even get to the menu
  • I have Malwarebytes
  • I've added my launcher to both Malwarebyte's and Windows Firewall's ignore list
  • I don't have any proxies

Unless it changed the malwarebytes program was not classed as antivirus software. Is that the only thing you have?

Have you set your ftb directory somewhere in Program Files? If so, you will need to launch it as an administrator.
