So I have a Feed The Beast Monster world and I have went mining and have plenty of resources, I just want to know what the best starting power is because i'm not sure what I should run my base from.

I can't say which is the best (it varies based on the person and what mods you've already started with) but if you're going deep into the Blood Magic route, I recommend trying out the Lava Crystal for some sort of basic power. I wouldn't run a massive base off of it, but it's good for small things or a system restart.

Doesn't Monster have dartcraft? I seem to remember force power being just ridiculously silly-easy to leverage in the early game.

for starting off, RF power, I have a culinary generator running off bread and sweetcorn from magic crops. runs the furnace/smelter/pulverizer nicely.
for rotarycraft, steam engines will be your workhorse engines early on until you get fuel production automated.

No dartcraft in monster unless you add it yourself.

As for early power, IC2 generator is easy but you'll probably get more life out of TE steam dynamos.

Thanks for all help, I have found a way, I made a Steam Turbine and then I hooked up a few Transfer Nodes for liquids to it, I now run power off water and I get quite a bit!

Instead of making a stream dynamo I always go with the extra utilities survivalist generator. It doesn't produce very much but it runs for a very long time and is super efficient
