Any one forgetting gregs fusion reactor? I almost had that till a prank went wrong and crashed the server

Never got that far in any 1.4 worlds, but I plan to get there in 1.7.10 :D

That being said, I am not really sure I've seen anybody do a Greg fusion reactor...

Hrm. In IC2ex for 1.7.10, I've heard the nuclear reactors were redone, again, and i see a few new blocks for it. Is the previous functionality gone and it now works completely differently? Or are the new blocks part of a second tier of reactors? IC2 documentation is terrible.

I got four stacks of Chrome Dust in 1.4.7, but then 1.5 came out I moved to the new version for Tinkers. I've never seen anyone complete a quest for GT fusion.

Normally, by the time you were able to make a fusion reactor, you didn't need it as you had other power generation methods up and running.

I'm not sure about @Kill-Joy's, any guesses?

Old rector stuff is still there. But you can now upgrade it into a Pressure Vessel with said blocks. That turns the reactor from generating EU to generating heat. To utilize that heat, you pipe in some Coolant, and it get's heated up into Hot Coolant. That goes into a Fluid Heat Exchanger, which turns it into useable Heat Energy(it even gives your cold coolant back!). You *could* put that directly into a Stirling Generator, but there's no fun in that. Instead, you should use that for the Steam Generator+Kinetic Steam Generator setup, and effectively double your EU output, and even get some extra Distilled Water for overclockers!

And as for bad documentation, we're working on the wiki, and also there are a ton of threads about this on the forum >_>

My favorite way was 3 fully automated Gregtech Fusion Reactors. Lets just say it produced a LOT of energy, but my IDSU's were never full. :)

I attempted this once using bees. My bees couldn't make the pyrotheum fast enough.
You need to use cells to be able to do it with pyro :p it dosent output a lot, but for a somewhat long time :) what was your comsumption of energy? Since 1 pyro dust = 100k rf at 80rf/t i doubt you need a lot unless you want always positive energy

On my last world before I moved to 1.7, my average consumption was at around 300-400kRF/t.
