Hello!

My favorite biome in FTB atm is the meadows one. Its a very flat, very green surface with lots of grass, a few trees, and just about everything good i can think of with no annoying hills that need to be flattened.

My permanent bases are generally located in a stable perma-day age made of many meadows symbols and perhaps an autumn tree or red mountain added to the mix for looks (the thing looks beautiful... a paradise).

What is your favorite biome or mix of biomes?

For me it's Meadows as well. I just love how green it looks and unlike jungles you can actually build and move around without having to clear a lot of leaves/trees/other junk.

If/when I add Mystcraft to my world I'll probably do something similar to your stuff as well. Perma-day so I don't have to worry about surface mobs or sleeping and probably also red mountains. I might also mix in some jungle and ocean, though adding too much might make it feel too varied.
The only issue I have with Mystcraft ages though is that it doesn't seem RP Volcanoes are generated in them, at least not as far as I've seen so far.

Extreme mountains. Building glorious marble castles from which the sky-dwelling bourgeoisie may overlook the earthbound peasantry.

Extreme mountains here as well, for the same reasons. I love the textured land and how it influences my builds.

My least favorite? The stupid giant tree biomes.

CLIMB THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN

PUNCH THE FACE OF GOD

I'd be curious to try the redwood ones, since it might actually make a treehouse that doesn't suck. Cannot stand jungles though. So much mob-safe space, and too much ground clutter to move.

Can't agree with you more, here's the view from my house.

Favorite to look at, Autumn Woods.

Favorite to start in... well, I like playing in hardcore and certainly no less than hard difficulty when not hardcore, which means starving to death is a possibility. So my favorite to start in is probably Savannah for the absurd amounts of grass, assuming Xycraft is installed. Popcorn is a life saver, literally, as you can eat it while waiting for your Corn or Wheat to grow.

Actually, does Twilight Forest count? Because after getting a look at the rainbow trees, I'm liking them even better than the Autumn Woods.

Actually, one of my favourite biome independent locations is a spot nestled in mountains, and on a lake. Kinda like that one hideout in porco rosso, if any of you saw that.

I built my house in autumn woods, bordered on a desert with 2 volcanos in view and a redcobble mountain behind :)

Then as I haven't gotten a treefarm set up yet, I've stripped most of the colorful trees for the wood! I have the saplings to replant once I get all my farms positioned though...

I like meadows. Bauxite ore spawns in them, so plenty of ore for GT stuff. My next favorite is probably the desert. It's great for mob hunting at night. lots of open space, and can easily see the mobs and look for the endermen.

Twilight forest is the best though, and I would move there completely, except... there are no thaumcraft aura nodes there. :(

I'm told that TC nodes get spawned in when thaumcraft stuff happens often enough.

I'm a bit surprised there's NO nodes. The grass, flowers, mushrooms, etc. should be sufficient to make it at least spawn small nodes... unless Twilight Forest somehow blocks that generation, but if it blocks Thaumcraft, how and why would it not block Redpower 2's shenanigans as well?

The Biome edge between any Extreme hills biome type and a flat biome. I build by towers into the side if the cliff face.
