Farm blocks issue

hey all,

I have built a basic tree farm using the new farm block system. I have power, water and extraction all connected. I placed humus in, fertilizer, and sapplings but nothing happened. I took some humus and placed it on the top of the farm and it instantly planted trees and as they grew harvested them and planted new ones. the problem is, it is not removing the sand and replacing it with new humus. I have no circuit board installed because for now I just want a basic tree farm.

I'm running the latest Mindcrack pack, if that helps.

Farms have been changed from needing humus as an input to requiring dirt. The trees are still planted on humus (hence why placing it works), but the farm has been altered to use some of its fertilizer to automatically convert dirt into humus when it plants it.
