Problem Every time I log into my server, I'm in creative mode

Even if I log out in survival, I am converted to creative mode every time I log in, sometimes after survival mode for a split second before. It also happens when I go to the twilight forest and nether, I'm willing to bet the end and any mystcraft worlds too. It started happening after the first time I used NEI's cheat mode, I think. I tried editing my clientside NEI.cfg to have the wrong command to change my gamemode, but it kept happening. It also keeps happening after I deop myself. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the serverside NEI just really wants me to be in cheat mode or something. As it stands right now, I just have to spend a second to type /gamemode 0, but I often forget before breaking a block or flying and wondering why I don't fall. If a fix requires me to be unable to do cheat mode, I'd be okay with that. But is there any fix?

Go into single play and turn off cheat mode in NEI, then go back to your server and tell me if it still says "cheat mode" and if the problem still occurs.

Still happens. And NEI doesn't have me in cheat mode, I'm just in creative mode.

Yes, the server automatically restarts twice/day and it has happened over the last week.

Drastic option​

make a back up of you player.dat and deleat it reboot the server

reinstalling the client is another slighty less drastic option​

I've already deleted my player.dat, but I'll try reinstalling the client. Edit: Reinstalling the client did not work. I think it is serverside because of the way it still does it after I deop myself.

I solved this problem on my server by deleting both the player.dat, and the player.dat in the NEI folder. Both of these resided in my world folder. I hope this works for you too.
