Yeah if you don't chunkload your water source with your boiler, you're being "adventurous."No nuclear fission at all?! OUTRAGE! Though at least boilers can craterize bases too. (I've only done that once, stupid chunkloading being setup wrong)

Someone needs to mod that... NowOne thing I thought about trying to create was a perpetual motion cow-powered generator, but it's just missing a couple of elements to be viable.
Basically my dream machine would be two portals (from portal gun), push a cow into the bottom one so it falls out of the top one into the bottom one (a nice perpetual loop)...then i'd need some way of turning this kinetic energy into an actual power source. But unfortunately this doesn't exist...yet
I'm proud to say I have never blown up an boiler. The secret to my success? Aqueous accumulator directly underneath the boiler(Yes, those existed in 1.4.7).No nuclear fission at all?! OUTRAGE! or you could use a pump in an infinite water sourceI'm proud to say I have never blown up an boiler. The secret to my success? Aqueous accumulator directly underneath the boiler(Yes, those existed in 1.4.7).
Yeah mine was due to stupid placement and now I always put mine directly next to the boiler.I'm proud to say I have never blown up an boiler. The secret to my success? Aqueous accumulator directly underneath the boiler(Yes, those existed in 1.4.7).
Aqueous accumulator was easier and didn't depend on the infinite water mechanic.or you could use a pump in an infinite water source
Yeah, I know, but I didn't use TE back in 1.4.7Aqueous accumulator was easier and didn't depend on the infinite water mechanic.
In Monster I always use EU and MJ converters. The ones that require an energy bridge. I only do that because combustions engines are cheep to make, and you can give them infinite water with an aqueous accumulators. The only downfall is they require fuel to run efficiently, but I love building oil rigs and refining fuel so its perfect for me.
god i remember oily bees, how much alveary i had of those :3I always pump oil, wherever I can find it, store it in a big Railcraft steel tank, refine it to fuel and run a whole bunch of semifluid generators for my EU. It's always been my go-to energy source because it works for both RF (compression dynamos) and EU (semifluid generators). And it's also the best energy source for those machines so it's all a big huge win. Not sure why other people don't use fuel, although on a SMP server the oil supply is limited and can disappear if people do use it (and Mystcraft is banned which it usually is)... then you have to go to bees or something else to get some, and it's not as easy.

@Gideonseymour remember when you created a mystcraft mob essence age, and gloried in your sucess, but then it turned out to be unstable? (then i got trapped :C)Yes, in Monster pack. for some reason oily bees produce their combs very very slowly so you do need a lot of them. I opted for an Ocean Oil Biome Mystcraft age instead this time, just for a change of pace and to figure that mod out.
Warp book is a great mod It works across dimensions, even mystcraft ages... SOOOOOOOOoooo... you should always have at least a page to the overworld when you go into a Mystcraft age@Gideonseymour remember when you created a mystcraft mob essence age, and gloried in your sucess, but then it turned out to be unstable? !! One can never over-engineer things. One can merely make things explode from too much awesome.I don't like to over engineer things.
