Windows .exe Error after downloading first time

Hello,
I just downloaded the FTB launcher on this machine after installing Windows. When I try starting a modpack, the game doesn't launch and I can't do anything in the launcher anymore. I tried reinstalling Java and redownloading the launcher. Neither of those worked.

C:\Program Files\Minecraft\FTB\FTBLauncherLog.txt (Access is denied)

Try installing the client to your desktop and not the Program Files. Unless you are running as an administrator user, you will be unable to write to any folder in the Program Files directory. The troubleshooting guide will assist you on doing this (actually, go ahead and follow the whole thing, it will almost certainly solve your problem).

I had some security setting problems that had nothing to do with FTB. After fixing those, my problem with FTB was also fixed. Thanks for the help
