I either void pipe it directly from the quarry, or just stick it in a Deep Storage Unit (on the Ultimate pack). 50 thousand cobble and counting...

I've got almost that much in Nikkolite.... So you can imagine how much cobble, sand, dirt & gravel I've gotten rid of :).

Small change.

In other news, I've proven that a ME Storage Monitor is coded to display even when the count is above a million.

I'm still fairly new to the crossover things. But if you filter the junk, could you send it to a buffer for the buffer then void pipe out?

If you're playing on ultimate, you can use the Incinerator from Tubestuff. Craft it with cobblestone in a furnace pattern around a bucket of lava. It's basically a void pipe that works with RP tubes.

Doesn't look like it. Although I winder if I should switch to ultimate..... it looks like the only thing Mindcrack has that Ultimate doesn't is 'traincraft', which I'm pretty sure I'm not using....
Ultimate really needs TrainCraft. You might be using it for steel.

I've used them playing Tekkit. They work, but honestly serve little purpose for me in FTB... I have a cobble generator which will give me all the cobble I want weather I'm quarrying or not (It feeds into a standalone wooden chest), which then translates into unlimited sand and glass.
Make scrap, then play the scrapbox lottery for small chance of useful resources - along with more junk, at the cost of EU, time and luck.

Yeah, well Mr. Gregorious over there has made it so that pretty much all of the time you play the scrapbox lottery... you get scrap!

Yay.

Ah yes, if you are using gregtech, then don't do the lottery - but then, if you are just voiding it and have the EU to spare, still worth playing the lottery :D

To the IC2 Recycler!

Presumes IC2 installed. Often when a person is asking about options between 2 mods, it is best to answer only for those mods. Because if I were asking, and you replied with the above, I'd have to point out that would be impossible since IC2 was removed from my worlds several months ago.

Buffers don't accept from tubes and eject into pipes. Hence the eject-into-obsidian-pipe trick.

I've re-engineered my setup to be the tesseract -> relay -> pneumatic tube ->Sorting Machine -> pneumatic tube system. The sorting Machine is using the 'Any Item Whole Stack With Default Route' mode, with the default route no color and anything I want disposed of black. It seems to be working well. Seems to be faster and overall more efficient.

Personally right now I have 4 relays on my input tesseract routed to a junction that narrows the stream down to 1 tube which passes over a filter that ejects into a lava block below it. The tube then dumps the remainder into my AE network. However I am playing SSP so I don't give two-tosses about efficiency for this one section.

I'm not near my world right now, do relays accept items from BC pipes? I forget. If so you could do Tesseract -> Diamond/Void -> Relay. Though I suspect it does not given RP2's rather famous aloofness.

Instead of placing an ender chest/relay directly on your quarry, place a diamond pipe, connected on one side to your chest/relay, and on an other to a void pipe.

Put the diamond pipe to output what you want to void into the void pipe, and don't configure anything else.

I really can't understand when that setup would be a problem, it's easier to do it directly at the source, because it makes more room tor the rest of the stuff, and you don't need to stress your sorting machines anywhere as much.

If you still want to keep some of it, just put chests/barrels and extend the path to the void pipe, but gravel/sand/cobble/dirt can be automatically made from other sources anyway.

If you're referring to the buffer from Tubestuff, first off, you should probably just be using the incinerator instead, but according to the Immibis Mods thread, it will autoeject into wood, gold, or Basic Logistics pipes, as well as emit redstone pulses to trigger a filter, if you want to use it that way.
So pneumatic tubes to buffer to golden/wooden transport pipe to void pipe would work, as well as stone pipe to buffer to filter to tubes, if you don't want to use a relay.

I believe that the whe whole reason Eloraam made the relay in the first place was so that it could serve as a bridge between BC and RP networks. It's a block with an inventory (that also happens to autoeject into tube networks), is it not? And BC pipes can stuff things into blocks with inventories, can they not?

In other words, yes, the relay can take input from pipes.

Considering every major pack but the magic one that has Buildcraft installed carries IC2 as well, I thought it was a safe assumption that IC2 was installed.

Except they're too slow, and I really have nothing to do with the scrap... I set up a MassFab which has been running off an Ultimate hybrid solar panel (was actually running off nine for a while) for several months so I have over 900 STACKS of UU! UU is generated at an INSANE rate with nine Ultimate solar arrays!
Why do you still quarry?

I havetn read this whole thread but forgive me if its mentioned but isn't there a red power block that creates junction between a pneumatic systen and bc pipes? If so why not us that to sort by color to the line with the block then void pipe?i

You're thinking of the Relay and every wiki entry for it says that machines can treat it as an inventory. Nothing about accepting pipe inputs. I don't recall ever being able to do so, nor ever seeing any LPer do so.[DOUBLEPOST=1366302912][/DOUBLEPOST]

No, the buffer in RP2. Why would I admonish someone else about suggesting a mod not asked about, then go on to make a suggestion about a mod not asked about?
