The biggest problem I could think of is the world generation because in Monster you have far more resources in the world, you'll need to explore new chunks for the rest to generate. Why don't you just back up your actual world and try the other pack? Anyway imo is better just to reset the map. :)

You might be able to, but I think it would be such a disjointed experience. As Zeth mentions you will have problems with ore and rocks that wont spawn in earlier visited areas. You will probably also have problems with new biomes and features not spawning and if they do integration with the old will not be pretty.
You will also not get any of the new world gen that is part of Monster(ATG, BoP(more than the 5 biomes of DW20) and Highlands).

I would recommend keeping the DW20 pack for a while yet and then when Monster (hopefully) soon gets to stable make the switch over to a new fresh Monster server.

As other posters say, you'll definitely have chunks that suddenly change in elevation and biome type. You'll have to deal with it or restart unless you disable the biome mods altogether.

You have Ars Magicka in DW20 but not in Monster. You'll have to copy the mod from your DW20 install if you still want it. Check for other mods you might want to do the same with.

If you did want the worldgen @rhn mentions, change the world type in server.properties to ATG (but you might also need to NBT edit your world files to specify ATG world type), which will generate the biomes of both of those Biome mods.

If you're feeling very enterprising, you might consider the time-intense task of deconflicting duplicate biomes: You'll find things like Savannah and Redwood forest in both biome mods, so you could pick your favorite and disable the other, or you could just pick one of the two biome mods).

Good luck!
