Episode 57, Botania Automation. I've replayed it over and over trying to find what I'm missing, but no luck. Please... help me see it!

My production of Livingwood & Livingrock is apparently working correctly, but production stops after one iteration.

The items (4 of each) go into their drawers as expected. In DW20's video, production then seems to continue, apparently until each items' respective drawers are full. In my setup, it stops after one iteration.

I have 5 sets of 2x2 drawer units attached to a Drawer Controller. Four of the 2x2 units contain the 16 petal types, and the 5th is for Livingwood & Livingrock (and bone meal and seeds, as per DW20's setup).

My Controller has an Exporter with Livingwood & Livingrock whitelisted (as per DW20), and the Exporter contains a Crafting Upgrade. The Exporter is attached via Network Transmitter & Receiver to my main Refined Storage network.

I also have an External Storage attached to the drawer controller - I did not see an External Storage in DW20's video but, without it, the drawer contents are not visible on my main network grid, so I presume it's there but out of sight in his video.

If I remove the External Storage, another production iteration occurs.
If I replace the External Storage, another production iteration occurs.
If I empty the drawers, another production iteration occurs.
In each of the above three cases, it stops after one iteration.

What do I need to do to get the production system to keep going? What am I missing?

EDIT: Episode 58 shows more of the Controller that DW20\s drawers are attached to, and I can see no External Storage. How do the contents of those drawers show up in his main RefStrg grid??

I'll preface this by saying I've not watched the DW20 LPs. What part of your setup stops working? You stated it stops after one iteration, but I didn't get the manner in which it stopped working, which helps us troubleshoot.

As always, pictures of your setup can help tremendously.

Hi Inaeo, thanks for replying.

The best way of following DW20's setup is by watching the relevant episode (
). His setup of the placing, converting, and harvesting of wood/livingwood and stone/livingrock is from 23:00-31:25. Getting it into the drawers is from 32:00 to nearly the end (37:00).

I believe I've got the first bit right, as my setup seems to place, convert and harvest 4 each of wood/livingwood and stone/livingrock in the same way as his does.

The next part is the problem. My setup does it only once, and stops, whereas DW20's seems to repeat until the relevant drawer is full - almost like there's some item that actively prompts the LW&LR creaftion system to do another iteration, and another, and so on, until the darwer is full. I'd be looking in his Drawers system for that, or in the Exporter attached to the Drawer Controller, but I see nothing like that.

Here are some screenshots of my setup:

I'd be really grateful if you can show me what I'm not seeing!

You could look at Direwolf's actual world for comparison, as he makes every tenth episode available for download. If you use the Curse client you can click on the Icon for Dire's pack (except the green "Play" button) and then click on "Get more content" in the upper right of the window. When you get to the list of mods in the pack in the upper left you'll see a "Maps" selection. This will take you to a list of world saves to download, from 10 to 60 right now in steps of 10.

Thanks Hambeau - I've wondered how one gets hold of his world downloads!

How do I get into his latest world without disrupting my own game?

The world download will be a zip file. Just open it up and copy its contents into a folder. Go into the curse client and open the pack. Use the 3 dot (...) in the upper right. Select open folder. In there you will see a saves folder open that. In there will be your current game save for SP. Just place the direwolf20 folder in that folder next to your game save. When you start the game it should list both saves. Just select the one you want to play.

Direwolf has that setup on 2 separate networks. If you have the External Storage and the Exporter on the same network then the esporter will pull wood or stone from the external storage to fulfill it's export need, and again and again ad nosium.

From your main RS network setup a tiny chest each for stone and logs.
Attach to these, with a second network, external storage interfaces set to extract only.
On the secondary network setup your constructors and destructors set to place stone and wood and pull lvingstone and wood.
Exporter to the storage drawer controller with a crafting card.

Then an External storage from your main network the same controller.

This will cause the secondary network to craft living goods until the drawers are full and give you access to the full drawers from your main network.

Thanks Henry Link. I found the Curse page with DW's versions, listing the world downloads. Mouse-overing each line highlights it, but I can't see how to actually get any of them to download - they don't seem to respond to clicks? Not even "Episode0.zip" at the bottom of the list is clickable. I am logged in to Curse, and this is the page I'm looking at: http://i.imgur.com/8apkqz6.jpg

Thanks Capt_gloval - I'm going to take a better look, tomorrow, at what you've said - it's bedtime now!

OK so if you click the install button in the upper left. It will download the latest version of the map. In this case Episode 60. There is a way to get the older ones if you want. But that involves a little bit of convoluted steps. Let me know if you need instructions for that.

Henry Link - OK, did that, and it says "Installing" and "Downloading... etc" with a progress bar - hooray! :) But where does the download go?

EDIT: Ah, I get it. I'm such a noob. Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately DW20's ep60 world has more things to his Botania setup since ep57, and it's hard to extract only what he did up to end of ep57.

Cpt_gloval, clearly what you described will work but, to me, it doesn't sound quite the same as what DW20 had done by the end of ep57. Unless I'm totally misunderstanding what you said? In his ep60 world download, he's altered his setup slightly to look more like what you've described.

After more experimenting, I've now found that just removing the External Storage bus from my Drawer Controller seems to have sorted the problem out (as you said, Capt_gloval!) - somewhat to my surprise, because I thought I had done that before I made my original post. Anyway, iterations of living-goods creation now repeat until the Drawers are full, and I can understand what's going on!

Thanks guys, for your help and your patience :) really appreciated!
