Hi guys,

I've recently come across a problem with Direwolf20 - Getting rid of cobblestone.

On our server we have a quarry running 24/7 however the amount of cobblestone it is producing is swamping any chests we throw at it. We are using Pneumatic Tubes due to the bad reliability with Transport Pipes in Buildcraft.

Is there any way to destroy any cobblestone in a Pneumatic Tube compatible appliance? Previously I've used the incinerator however this isn't available in DireWolf20.

Any Ideas?

Thanks.

Filter on the network outputting into lava. Put a restriction tube before the filter to make the cobble fill what it can before going to die, or put a lever on the filter to disable it completely. Also, don't forget to put cobble in the filter, or on the sorting machine that sends things to the filter, or it will destroy anything that happens to find its way there, including diamonds. Might I recommend a few extra dimensional barrels for use with the cobble? Or, if you want to get really fancy, you could build a system at the back of a tunnel bore to place cobble in its wake. Perhaps smelt it into smooth stone if you have the energy and machines to spare.

Personally all I do is either stick a barrel next to it and it should be able to hold a standard size quarry worth of cobble without filling asside from that as the person above suggested however you don't really need a restriction tube just put the filter that is pulling the cobble on the output chest for your system and constantly pulse it with a timer and it should run fine alternatively put it in line with the chest and instead of a restriction tube just put cobble into its GUI (also maybe marble/dirt or anything else you want rid of)and as long as the path there is the shortest only cobble will go down it.

Personally, as I tesseract my items to my base, I deal with unwanted blocks directly at the quarry, with three buildcraft pipes. A gold one first, for its speed, a diamond one second set to reroute all cobble, gravel and dirt towards the third: a void pipe. Everything else travels through to my item tesseract. Sorting stuff happens on the other side of that.

And the tesseracts could even be used as over the top system switch - pneumatic tubes into tesseract into pipes into tesseract into tubes again. Though that should be recreatable with a relay or similar. ;)

We are using Pneumatic Tubes due to the bad reliability with Transport Pipes in Buildcraft.
A diamond pipe sorting out the junk (cobble, dirt, gravel) from a quarry and sending it to a void pipe can handle a full speed quarry with no problems; there is nothing "unreliable" in this method.

If you want to stick with tubes, yeah dump the junk into a lava pit, or onto a quartz crystal, or even a cactus.

could also rerout the cobble/dirt/gravel into recyclers and use that to boost uu matter production
