The Quarryplus isn't a practical idea i think, it takes several RL days to clean the max size if you let it run 24/24 even with max efficiency. Sure it's great for mining, but for such a size it's really slow.
 
Who says you have to use just a solitary quarry(plus) to clear out such a large area? Using several will speed up the process significantly.
