Here is what I have going on.

I have copper from IC2, and Gregtech. I have copper from TE. When I pulverize/smelt it, it all merges as if it's IC2/Gtech copper. This works in all recipes.

Now lets move over to nether quartz, when pulverized (which is needed to make fluix dust) it is supposed to make nether quartz dust, which would be fine, but it switches to quartz dust (electricraft), and for some reason I am unable to use this in AE recipes. All I can do is cheat in said dust, and subtract the other dust from my supplies.

This is quite bothersome, so I am hoping there is some work around (besides disabled mods, because I'd have to disable damn near everything and play vanilla) so I can stop doing this.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Thanks

You could just take your Quartz dust or Copper and put them through a device like the Automatic Dictionary Converter from Mariculture to turn it into whatever variant you need. I don't have the Nether quartz problem in Monster, but I just tested it and I can freely convert Nether quartz dust(AE) to Quartz dust(Electricraft).

Report that issue to Reika, as it's an ElectriCraft issue. Also make sure you are using the mod up to date version of his mods, for good measure.

I will do that today, figured I'd check here first. The only reason I hadn't done it yet, it because minecraft does it with many items, I was just using that in this specific case. But it might be that particular mod doing it here?

GT does that
(At least for the copper)

GT does it to some of the ores, but copper ore from GT can be used in recipes from TE. For some reason the quartz in this case can't. I'm sure it's an oversight, just annoying to deal with.

There's an item that can do that? Will definitely have to check that out.

For metals, you can use a barrel from JABBA, put an ingot of the type you want in it, then put all the other types in aswell and it'll convert them all to the first type you put in.

Except that requires a sample metal which, in this case, is impossible to obtain.

Actually the Unifier works without anything in it. It will convert to some default value. It might happen to be what you need to get going. Only way to know is to try it

Just an update on this one, and I am sure it would do it to the others as well. It does convert as you mentioned, but it converts right back (in this case) to the electricraft variety. Once I have an autocraft system set up this won't be a problem, as this only occurs when it's in my physical inventory, it's just getting to that point. I only got a few seconds of in between time to work on it.

That sounds really really odd and seriously buggy if that is the case..

Nope, GT does that. Check the config, there is an option to disable that.

Ahh, so if I understand what you are saying (correct me if I am wrong), even though the two mods are unrelated to GT (unlike IC2), the option in his config is what causes it? So switching the =false to =true in the unification config file fixes it?

IIRC it is switching true to false, it is a setting that makes EVERYTHING turn into the version from one mod.
