Did anyone from FTB actually look through the code before posting the modpack?

The issues with the server version are not in our control, they are issues in the specific mods that have the error not just in the FTB pack, also in answer to your question "did we even look through the code" No, we did not our team does not have time to look through each mods code to find errors in it this could take days and would be impossible in some cases anyway as the code is closed source. However, many of the issues in the server/game will be fixed in the new release coming soon.

But, you're the guys who put the modpack together, so ain't it your responsibility to make sure that everything works? Not the actual mods themselves, but getting them to work together.

Just like to chip in here, why does it bother you so much that you have about 25 extra lines of code that makes no relevance, are you bothered by the extra byte of information? If it bothers you THAT much, you can make yourself a filter or find one online.

That's the thing though, is all the errors just not relevant? Or do they cause any kind of lag or other issues to the server?

OK just so everyone is aware. I am not going to lock this down quite yet, but try to keep this civil on both sides. To bring you up to speed, we have just brought together a team of people whose sole responsibility will be to ensure that the FTB packs work together as well as they possibly can do. This team consists of 5 experienced Server Owners/Maintainers. It is going to take a few days to bring them up to speed, but already last night a new server and client was pushed that helped to fix a lot of ID issues. Please be aware that the current server packs are Interim packs only. They are not even remotely complete as a lot of mods are still missing. I dont expect there to be a complete pack for several weeks yet. Having said this, I do hope to bring out interim pack 2 in the near future which will contain all the needed world gen mods. (maybe a week or so)

We will look at a better method to allow you to report bugs with the packs. I will try and get this sorted as soon as possible.

Sounds nice Slowpoke. Don't get me wrong, I love the modpack so far, even though it has issues, but that's to be expected with an early release. The only real issue i had with it was that it seemed to have been pushed out there a bit too fast. I'm really looking forward to what's to come out of the modpacks, as I will be playing them for a long time.

Yeah might admit, i overreacted a bit.. But them bringing in more people now, will fix alot of the things, as they have more knowledge of the mods and will hopefully be able to make fixes for things faster.

From reading this thread alot of user are attacking OP for wanting a clean log. But some of these issues cause the game/server to crash.

I've been running my server on the ftb server pack since release, and even thou those few lines of errors pop in my logs I don't have any problems at all, well apart of some chunks getting corrupted, wich I fixed with mcedit. Yes there might be a few mods missing and that dammed portal gun just being an ass, ppl need to remember that is on beta still so have a bit of patience as slowpoke stated the server pack will be looked over more now.
