Aw seriously? Mod ores don't get impacted by dense ores? Is this still true with the new mystcraft?
It would be great if they updated it to increase ores in general.

It is only true with the new Mystcraft, which was purposefully changed to not do what you would consider "great"

Stop trying to get dense ores to give you what you want. Build a frame tunnelbore and filter out what you want from the obscene amount of blocks it will mine.

LOL, Seriously? "Stop using mod x for your resource needs use mod y." That's your advice? Why not both, or more, it is 'Modded' minecraft after all.

Yes, it is my advice. Why? because it works.

Furthermore I'm not saying don't use mod x, use mod y. I run my tunnelbores in mystcraft ages, after all. Looks like a) I'm using both mods, and b) I'm getting exactly the resources I want without headache.

People have a bad habit of thinking stuff posted months/years ago on youtube works exactly the same way today. You can spend your time trying to make something work in ways it no longer works or you can listen to advice from people who have systems that work TODAY. :)
