Kill the power? Ahh. I turn on the "black-hole" router, and see if that still wipes out half the internet.
("Black-hole router": Early in the internet, when RIP routing was used everywhere (before the BGP protocol), one router had a hardware failure, and reported distance zero to everyone else.
It sucked up all nearby packets; nothing got out.)
