Creeper removal

Before I used a bukkit plugin to block creeper explosions.

What would you use now to either block creepers from spawning or reducing the explosions they create on a server?

I believe this command works on servers. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
/gamerule mobGriefing false

And after testing on my server it works and is persistent
note:it doesn't seem to change any config files

Take note that this does NOT stop creeper explosions from killing players, it only stops the explosion from blowing up blocks.

Worked perfect guys. Thanks! I'm ok with death, but you know that feeling when you just finished a huge project and a creeper blows part of it to hell?
