I made some REP's and just when i tried using them my client crashed. The same thing happens when i use the wireless map, well either that or it appearing white and not working. I use windows 7, have 4 GB ram (i use 2 for my cleint and 2 for my server in which the incident happened). Here is the crash report link: http://pastebin.com/5P6hKEfS

Wait, so you're using all 4 GB of your ram for your client and server?
Yes and it does not lag because it has it reserved. If i use less memory the game will lag. I believe since the memory is reserved for use (and 2gb is good) this cant be a memory issue.

You can't do that.
1. Neither your launcher or server will be able to use 2 GB each, if all you have is 4 GB. Your computer NEEDS at least 1 GB to run.
2. You're starving your computer through RAM.
3. Java doesn't know how to use RAM properly, you should never give it everything you've got.

How much should i give the client and the server?

What Tad said. If you only have 4 GB, you really shouldn't be running the client and server from the same computer.
I was thinking about upgrading my pc. How much ram should I put into it if i want ot run server and client from the same pc?

I recommend 2.5-5 GB of RAM for the client.
I've been told that the same amounts are good for a server.

I suggest at least 8 GB, 12 being preferred.

Please see my second link in my signature abou log files and post a full client side log in debug mode and your server log.

Also, your going to run into more and more problems running a client and server with so little ram. I never suggest running either with less than 4G each, but I'm picky like that.

If you would load up a single player world and see if you are having the same issues?
