crash when opening NEI

ok so i was looking at xycraft section in NEI and when i was deleting the search text game crashes for some reason and now when ever i try opening NEI again i crash please help.

heres the report i got

Take a backup of your FTB folder. Navigate to modpack -> minecraft -> saves -> NEI -> local -> delete NEI.dat

it worked ty a LOT now i can continue to work on my project
