Hey guys,
I've always liked the Carpenters Blocks mod and wondered how cool would it be if Crash Landing had it.
I decided to try an experiment on creating a new starter spaceship using Carpenters, and see how reinvigorating would be the result. I'm really glad with how it turned out... so much that I'm in contact with the CL developers to see how viable would it be to include the carpenters mod in CL.
I know that it can be too much a resource hog for low end machines, that's why I created a new world save specifically for people who want to test it, or to start a new game with this new ship. I'd appreciate if you people could bring back the feedback of the performance, if you had stuttering, fps drops, or anything after the first seconds of game loading.

This is the save: http://www.mediafire.com/download/mtmlhvdl39epetd/Crash Landing New Start.zip
Put it on the folder: Crash Landing/minecraft/saves

To play you will need Carpenter's Blocks, which I downloaded from: http://www.carpentersblocks.com/downloads.html
I recommend the version 3.2.8.6 for Minecraft 1.6.4
Put it on the folder: Crash Landing/minecraft/mods
(remove it after if you wish)

Last time I checked you start the game with your feet inside the floor of the ship. Just imagine that with the crash impact you hit your head and fell. Now you are wakening up again, and you see yourself lying on the floor. Just jump to get up... lol

Wow! Just, wow!

Man, the ship, although would be too laggy for me, looks amazing.

Thanks pc_assassin.

b0bst3r, it's a regular crash landing world gen, I opened a new game, erased the original base and recreated another on it's place. I just explored here on 1.1.2 and the cities are there. I believe it will have no problems with 1.1.3 world gen either.

Hello,

I think it would be great but carpenters blocks will not spawn facing the right way using the ruins mod which is how the crash site is produced. I know this because I have tried this for my latest pack. I am currently looking into how they controlled all their world gen. However, if you figure out a way to get it to work out the way you have displayed here I would like to know how you accomplished this.

I believe there is a mod called recurrent complex that does, more or less, what ruins does. Not sure if it is on 1.6.4, though
