Crash directly after launch​

idk how to check this, i imagine the most recent one?​

Details of the issue:

Only seems to be happening with infinity, crashes right after launch (and after the long load screen with the hammer and anvil) never gets to the main menu. I've tried updating java, deleting the ftb folder and restarting, neither did anything to fix it.​

Dude. We're a bunch of random people who try to help others. I don't answer questions if I don't know the answer or have a clue of the answer but since you're so darn attention horny, here goes nothing.

Go to options, click "Force update", launch pack, see if it works.

If it doesn't, have you rebound any keys?

I'm new here, no idea whether this is the right place to post or not. It was a genuine question.
Tried force update, reinstall, everything, none of it seems to work.

My brother did just tell me he's been playing on my comp, rebound a key, and it crashed. He doesn't remember which and i have no idea how to figure it out or fix it, any suggestions?

Do you have a mouse with extra buttons? (anything beyond mouse2, so scroll counts as well)

Check how the Minecraft basic functions are bound (Jump, sneak etc~) and see if they're bound to special keys like Mouse5 or something.

Is there a way to check and/or change keybinds without getting to the main menu? cuz mine doesn't even get that far after launching, it's the white load screen, then it drops me back to the basic launcher.

Go to local mc files (Windows button + R -> %appdata&\.minecraft) and open options.txt

Near the bottom is a list of your keybinds that might look like this
key_key.forward:17
key_key.left:30
key_key.back:31
key_key.right:32
key_key.jump:57
key_key.sneak:42
key_key.drop:16
key_key.inventory:18
key_key.chat:20
(These are the default buttons)

You can reset the bindings (along with other things) to default by deleting the options.txt. However, as always before deleting anything, please take a backup of at least the thing you're deleting.

Are you sure you're checking the .minecraft folder in appdata o.o?

it wasn't there, ran vanilla minecraft, it was there, tried infinity, same crash. The defaults were normal, deleted the .txt, same crash. Idk why it's only happening with infinity, all the other packs work fine.

FTB launcher does noy use files in %appdata&\.minecraft. Check <ftb installation location>\<name of the pack>\minecraft

can't seem the find the name of the pack in my ftb folder either, all i have is:
folder: authlib
folder: launcher_styles
credits.txt
ftblaunch.cfg
FTBOSSent (numbers)
and some weird thing called stamp that doesn't open like a .txt folder

alright, brother is no longer allowed to touch my computer. Evidently in his attempts to make it work, he moved around and duplicated the ftb folder to another location on my computer that i just had to dig out. Deleted the options folder there and everything's working now.
