EDIT: MASSIVE bug... mod blocks show up as only a facade ingame and don't render in world.

Did some work today despite my intentions on studying :p

Added Perfect Spawn
Changed some Configs
Added the first quest line, Tool creation

Added some stuff inworld
Some surprises :)

Note the screenshots below are on fast graphics, only texture pack is CyanideX's Unity HQM because I wanted to have minimal FPS hits on this machine with IDEs open.

Restructured the Cat modpack again. This time I went for:

No minimaps. Forestry, Bibliocraft and maybe Antique atlas if it stays all provide mapping solutions.

Mystical world. BigTrees, Plant megapack and BetterFoliage look epic! No biome mods though.

Some mods to ease the pain of Gregtech, but not too much.

Adventuring options. Specialized backpacks.

Food and plants! Crops and bees! Farming is going to be big.

Thaumcraft. Because we love azenor.

Aesthetic options.

I notice in the Cat mods you've listed Iguana Tweaks. Isn't that an addon purely for Tinkers Construct?

From what I've read (esp on the gregtech forum) GT and TiC don't work together.

Iguana tweaks is still on the fence, but you're thinking about the wrong mod.

Tinker's Tweaks is a mod that came later, but the original Vanilla Iguana tweaks changes things like how much weight you can carry and how slow you walk on certain terrain. We won't be putting TiCon in the pack (or any of our packs unless we feel it works blance-wise).
 
Ah got you - I'd never seen that mod before. Sounds interesting, although I might not say that once I start the pack!!

So when will the cat modpack be playable?
It doesn't crash ATM... so if you really wanted to you could download the Zip on the github page.

However, the finalized version for testers should come in a week-3 weeks MAX. It doesn't have HQM, so I can work on it without launching the game (when I'm supposed to be doing my homework shhhh) so I may accidentally finish it before Cub. Right now it's a matter of finalizing the configs, and minetweaking the hell out of other mods to fit GT (and updating/adding mods if needed).

I want to use Ted's Realistic World Gen Alpha, but it takes way too long to load- I may look into adding it as an option.
