Config file download option

I don't suppose you folks could allow for an option to configure the launcher to download server provided config files? There are some things as an admin I disagree with you folks on for configuration and I would prefer not to have to rely on and answer dozens of questions for downloading config files to the layman.

Are you willing to consider a config file server option provided by the administration, customizable by the launcher that could accept a simple address like http://config.example.com/ which would contain a list of config files to be downloaded. or something similar?

Config files is a difficult one because each server admin could possibly (and highly likely) have their own set up which no other admin uses, so it's kinda pointless to have an online archive, just create a backup offline.

Also if you were to create a respository of all the possible config options it would be absolutely massive, in fact not even possible I'd say.

However, having a GUI to help configure server options is not a bad idea and tbh wouldn't take that much work.

The server and cleint are in beta ! the mod pack team is NOT yet done with the main mod pack of FTB so configs WILL still change later on !

I may not have been clear, what I'd like to see is the launcher support downloading of config files from the admin's server, not an official server, for the reasons you posted above b0bst3r, this would allow an admin to make changes to their server files and still keep updating seemless and easy for our playerbases.

I was reffering to this statement of yours. The current config files will change.
Also downloading configs from server side, chekking your configs to server side is a very tricky opperation and will probebly (never say never) not be contained in the launcher.

However ! your server configs WILL always overrule all client configs. so the only configs they will need are the Gregtech one's so NEI shows the correct recipie. That is all i could think of that you need.

Which interestingly enough, is exactly the issue I was hoping to see this implemented to correct.
