Hey guys, I've almost got enough royal jelly to make my first Alviary and I'd like to set it up with some pure Industrious or Imperial in such a way that it will keep reusing the princess and a drone while shipping the rest of the drones/combs/pollen/jelly inside my bee workshop. A "set and forget" sort of scenario.

I'd also like this to look good on the outside, so minimal pipes above ground and set up so they could be easily disguised.

Does anyone have a screenshot of their own setup they could share with a description of what system (BC or RP2) they're using?

Wooden pipe with an autarchic gate on it attached to the alveary. Apiarist's pipe attached to the wooden pipe and the alveary. Another pipe (or a RP relay) attached to the apiarist pipe and going to your bee storage/analyzing/processing. Set the apiarist pipe to send any bees back to the alveary, close the direction towards the wooden pipe, and leave the outgoing direction empty. The pipe is smart enough to only send one drone and one princess back to the alveary when the queen dies, all other bees and bee produce will go to the outgoing pipe.

so the apiarist's pipe acts like a diamond pipe? Good to know
Diamond on steroids + gold pipe

The filter/storting functions of the apiarist pipe can sort out combs/anything not a bee and then sort by bee breed, purity, and most of their genetic attributes. All materials going through the pipe also get a massive speed boost.

The part I was referring to was a diamond pipe's function as an insertion pipe. It's good to know the apiarist's pipe does that as well :)

The pipe is smart enough to only send one drone and one princess back to the alveary when the queen dies, all other bees and bee produce will go to the outgoing pipe.

Note. That the pipe will send an entire drone stack. For most breeds that means when the genetics stabilize, it will birth a stack of 2 identical drones.

Everything still works, the effect is that one generation the alvery will export no drones, and the next a full stack.

Can this be done on the bottom side of the alveary so it's seamless and hidden from view?
