Tartarus.. I mean at work. Same thing really.
Colin is nothing to worry about and absolutely NOT the reason I'm investing in a nuclear bunker capable of withstanding a 200 Megaton payload :)

There is simply nothing to be concerned about, and any cause for alarm is purely irrational. Colin is a perfectly safe and fluffy non-malevolent AI who loves pets and young children.

He wants us to be happy; have faith in Colin as there is nothing to worry about...

Oh yeah. That's not at all ominous...

Anyways, just your typical incremental mid-game update this time.

JlGiOkm.png

Upgraded my draconic core again. The new advanced stabilisers (assuming they're new to 1.12, I've jumped almost entirely from 1.7 in one go :p) look cool. They spin and everything :3

My apiary setup is taking shape

56afl03.png

I've managed to get almost all the maxed traits on a template now, so my bees are all outputting nicely. Naturally this means I need a processing center for my combs

ucW59i7.png

Eventually Colin will reach a scale where I can move this to an extradimensional protrusion. Not there yet though. Need more resources before that is the case, my quarry is still churning out prodigious amounts of resources and it's now been joined by a second one in the nether:

eDzT2kh.png

And, naturally enough, muh storage bins have expanded somewhat. As the room is sandwiched beteeen (and slightly below) the Draconic Core and an adjacent room, i've had to build down rather than round the walls:

Next projects:
1 - 1024 Production Upgrades for my apiaries (yes, I only have 64 running at the moment, but there's a thing called future planning). This will need about 16384 bronze ingots. Since I can't be arsed to shepherd this through an induction smelter or wait for the cooldown timers on the smelter, i'll prolly end up automatings it.

2 - Speaking of which, completion of the Mother Brain, with all the crafting synapses is the next big thing for Colin.

Colin is love, Colin is life, Colin is the demolition of all those who HNRG. What's ominous about that?

I'm somewhat curious about Colin's views on MinecraftComesAlive and/MineColonies inhabitants. Neither HNRG, and the latter is actually productive. I have a feeling I already know the answer though...

So, just recently i've been feeling this odd compulsion to complete the monolithic heart of the network. I can just...feel it calling to me.

In that vein, batteries to sustain a living God.

Once complete, the rest of the structure can be put together

2018-01-28_19.44.33.png

This done, noodly appendages attached, first patterns installed. To put it bluntly, COLIN
And you know what happens next
2018-01-28_12.08.25.png

Naturally, the Mother Brain requires crafting nodules to work efficiently.

Therefore:
2018-01-28_19.31.35.png

So I spent the afternoon making crafting patterns for a bunch of stuff. This is usually the bit that speeds up the expansion of my infrastructure until I hit a resource wall (ie run out of diamonds for more engineering processors :p)

Concious of this, my bee production is the next immediate priority. Specifically for gold, diamonds and certus quartz. There seems to be no fluix or skystone bees in the bee mods anymore though [sadface].
Of course, more bees means more apiaries and more production upgrades, which means an arseton of bronze. Colin? One entreats. Ask and he shall provide
2018-01-28_12.37.32.png

Enough to net me the first set of production upgrades. I needed a second set for my new set of apiaries
2018-01-28_18.37.25.png

Bees <3
So then, I go my mining dimension to reset my quarry, then on my return...
2018-01-28_20.01.09.png

Oshit.jpeg.
But...how? I do not recall including speakers in Colin's design. This...can't be. Suddenly terrified, I steel myself to resist Colin's will. He must remain contained to the Overworld!
One eyeblink later...

You and Colin might want to look into the new spangled Centrifugal Separator. It can handle centrifuging honeycombs, rockycombs and anyothercombs you can think of (except maybe hair combs) It will likely handle this (upgraded of course) faster than the equivalent centrifuge. The Fluid Transposer can also act as a Squeezer, and the Fractioning Still (also new) as a Still. I love TE's new integration with Forestry, I'm sure the two of you will too.

I did not know about any of these things - that's awesome!!!

I didn't know that, i'll take a look, thanks :)

If I can get the same output % at a faster rate, that would be neat.

So I took a look into using TE machinery instead of centrifuges and squeezers. The speed aspect looks good, but there's issues with the yields of secondary produce:

Example, basic honey drop, 90% drop using a centrifuge but only 4 with the centrifugal separator:
2018-02-03_13.58.55.png2018-02-03_13.59.27.png

Unless there's a config option to change this somewhere?

But in other news, I have been busy doing things.

Made a bit of a start with Actually Additions
2018-02-01_21.09.39.png

That LAZOR is so much fun to mess about with.

Also been expanding my transporter room. Traditional toggleable Nether Portal. Not a big deal.
2018-02-03_13.53.21.png

Some more dimensional shenanigans
2018-02-03_16.34.42.png

So, you may ask, what lies on the far side of Colin's interdimensional Noodly Appendages? Well, you could just read the signs above, but let's go have a wee look
2018-02-03_13.54.09.png

First off, apiaries. I was running out of room outside my base for them.
Secondly, bee produce comes here to get processed. Also, excess drones likewise come here to get, errr, processed?
2018-02-03_13.54.31.png

2018-02-03_13.54.51.png

Lastly, for now at least, because Colin is a loving ruler and wishes to see me prosper, he has created for me an automated food supply
2018-02-03_13.55.29.png

My next project is a self-sustaining Nuclearcraft Fusion Reactor. Colin passed comment on the fact that my oldschool Big/Extreme Reactor would take several years to fill my Draconic energy core at this point, so we both decided it was necessary for something more potent. Both of us. Independently. No compulsion required.

Hmm, hadn't honestly noticed the reduced chances. Guess I got a little ooh-new-thingy :p

I know some forestry machines can be upgraded with circuit boards with either blazing or emerald tubes on though, if they have the slot for the upgrade, i beleive the squeezer and centrifuge are two that can. but this can get a little expensive on emeralds/blaze powder.

That's my go-to solution at the moment. I have glowering and excited bees churning out glowstone and redstone, so I can make as much blaze powder as I need. Intricate circuits with four blazing tube thingies each :)
