Well, I planned to finish automating my chroma tree farm tonight. That won't happen, though, because I am having way too much fun with the Crystal Orchestra. One thing, though: does it have an "undo" function? It's quite annoying to have tapped out a long tune and have to redo it because of a misclick.
Also, minor bug report: The high F note still produces a buzz sound even if you have all 16 crystals surrounding the Orchestra.
So....I've given myself the bugged Attentive Listening fragment and regularly acquired the Painful Loss achievement...and I *STILL* do not progress to the next level, additional info fragments after the regeneration ritual come up blank.
/chromaresearch -3 says "can step to ENDGAME: false & true" and "missing research for PYLONCRAFT: []".
What *else* do I have to do? I have all listed achievements. Or is this still the result of the bug?
I am now having this same issue, but on the most current version of the mod. The listening fragment is gated (v8), so that's a non issue. I get the exact same message from /chromaresearch. Problem is, I've gone back and crafted items from Pylon Crafting sections, and I'm still hung up. I don't want to cheat anything in, because I know I'm getting to the most awesome parts of the mod, so I want it to be legit. I STILL haven't found a desert structure new to V9, and my quick pester on Reddit to Rel says that they're somewhat buggy in V9. If that's what I'm missing, I'd much rather know how to simply check that block off so I can move on. Thanks!
Going thru the code, I believe the desert thingy is indeed required to move past endgame to the dimension. It, too, is the only thing holding me back from going any further.

Yeah, figured that would be the case. I'm still on PYLONCRAFT though, according to the chromaresearch. I'm looking for whatever is missing to let me get Endgame. I can't even make power crystals or a lumen battery yet, so I'm stuck.

I took a peek at the generation code for the desert structure and found that when it attempts to generate (the frequency of which is something like once in 40? chunks), it needs to find a block of sand 8 blocks below the surface at the exact origin of generation, which is extremely unlikely to happen. The sand check was accidental and Reika has fixed this in v10, but that's taking a while to be finished. The only thing it gates is the chroma dimensional portal research. For now, you can force-unlock the desert structure progression with /chromaprog 21
If they were generating properly they are really rather common, so if you want to feel legit just go visit a desert, a decent sized once is supposed to have several.
Oh, and if you're stuck getting to "endgame", which is to say you have a t3 casting complex but can't make power crystals yet
Yeah, I peeked as well, after I tried everything that was obvious. Problem is, I made one of those prior to checking /chromaresearch -3, and then crafted a second one once I saw that I was sitting at "false&&true". No dice. I mean, I can try to craft random things, but like I said, the /command is showing all the frags I have, and that I'm not missing anything, where before I did the ritual for regen, it was showing "DEATHPROOF".

Cheated in a Desert Structure Frag and the progress via /chromaprog 21. No dice on any further progress. I haven't done a single bit of anything in Thaumcraft, and it is installed in the modpack we're playing though. Could there be something I need to do in Thaumcraft that unlocks progression in Chromaticraft?
Further disregarding. Hover Wand item appears to be an item from the "Dimension" section of Chromaticraft. Back to square 1. I'm flat stuck.
Edit 3: Disregard all. Leaving this here in hope that someone else can benefit from my "stumbling". Did not have an Elemental Farmer crafted! Ding Ding Ding! I feel dumb. ><
Hey, @Reika, I'm getting a crash when being transported to The Dimension...I'm not sure if its this or WR-CBE causing it, but it only happens when I travel to said dimension and not others like The Last Millennium. Crash report is here.

I figured as much. You know...I never use it, I wonder if I wouldn't be better off just disabling it. The only thing I ever really use redstone for, anymore, is making auto-shutoff switches for the pulse jet and running the magnetizer. Don't really know of anyone on the server that bothers with it over long distances...

Maybe use it for some kind of monitoring system or something...I've just never been very good with it beyond basic stuff, so I never really bothered. I am a lazy bug.
So I found what I hope isn't intended, but it doesn't crash so I have no crashlog. When I get a Cromaticraft achievement, like killing the Wither, discovering each color of pylon, etc, my screen goes black. All I can see is my hotbar, and about a pixel wide strip at the far right of my screen. It clears itself in a few seconds, and I can still move around while it's there, but it really prevents me from doing much else until it goes away.
Reika, for public pack creators, you mention in your TOS them needing to be approved in addition to any modifications they may make to the mod via the modpack. If I'm not directly modifying recipes of Chromaticraft things but instead may modify recipes of other things in mods within my pack, is this still allowed? Let's say for example with thaumcraft that I wanted to force the player to create a red rune with Chromaticraft and have it required to make Thaumcraft fire shards in a crafting recipe. Would things like this violate your TOS for public packs? Due to how Chromaticraft is balanced, I don't forsee me needing to do much if anything to it for it to fit within my pack. When I have a more specific and direct list of changes handy for approval of including Chromaticraft within my pack, what's your preferred contact method for obtaining approval for a) inclusion and b) the changes I'd be adding?

As I understand it, Reika has no problem at all with his items being used to create other mods' items. However, if you're going to distribute the pack, you'll still have to do all the things and run it by Reika. I think he'd be OK with your example, although I will let him speak for himself.

I thought Thaumcraft at first too, after the black screen is gone, it shows a grey version of the warp effect before fully clearing. I don't see any similar issue like mine on the tracker, I'll throw up a bug report when I get home and can get screenshots.

I recently went to the End, which revealed the Thermitic Rock in the Nether. However, it doesn't have a mouse-over tooltip (unlike all of the other CC ores), and when I mined it, it dropped an item with a placeholder texture (Empty except for 2 purple corners) and the name "chromacraft.placeholder7". I'm assuming that this is, indeed, a placeholder - is it still one in v10?
Also, repeating my request for a Backspace button in the Crystal Orchestra since you never responded last time.
If I forceably use a command via HQM when a player gets to a certain point and 'unlocks' starting Chromaticraft, that I forceibly unlock the entries in the book that require them to go to the Overworld, bedrock, and Nether, is that considered a modification to your mod? In my modpack, the player will start in Twilight Forest and be stuck there for a large duration of the time without access to the overworld or the nether. I'd like for them to be able to explore Chromaticraft and be able to progress through the mod without them having access to those other dimensions. I'd merely be forcing a unlock of those pages due to the implied restrictions.
