Can't play light 1.8 packs

I've recently got my 8Gb memory, wich was my dream to play wih more than 100mods in 1.7 and play a 1.8 or 1.10 pack

I tried a lot of packs, allocating between 3 and 6 GB of memory but even 40mods ones never work in 1.10... DO I actually need ore RAM or is there a problem I can fix?
