Cant get NEI to work on bukkit server.

I have a tiny 1.7.2 modpack with only 11 Client-Side mods installed, one of them is NEI. I mainly installed it for cheat mode, because the bukkit server i play on is only for Creative.The problem is that i cannot use the /give command, but i went in NEI options and changed the command to "/I {1} {2}" because i can use the /i command, and {1} is for the item ID and {2} is for the quantity:

But the thing is that for the item ID it, well doesn't use an id, it uses a tile name, for example is i click oak planks it putes in "tile.wood" which the command doesn't know. Also, if i were to click on spruce planks it still does "tile.wood". What i need it to do is for oak planks put in "5:0" or "oakplank" and for the spruce "5:1" or "spruceplank".
Does anyone please know how to fix this? whether it is a plug-in for NEI or something i have to do,
PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP!!!

Then what's the issue? just click on the item instead of using the command.

You're on 1.7.2 hence there are no item ID's and it seems either that NEI hasn't changed the give command to recognise item names yet or you're not typing in the correct names.

-_- Ok, obviously you dont know a lot about NEI, let me explain it, NEI always uses a command to give a player the item, so if im on a server, it will use a command, the command however, that it uses doesnt work on the bukkit server i play on, so i changed it to use another command that works, but it uses "item ids" that arent even "item ids" like tile.wood so i need a way to fix this, or a plugin that does it

Are you talking about a behind the scenes command or have you always just used the command instead of just searching the item and clicking on it on the right of your screen( press O if you can't see the search bar or items listed)? There are NO ITEM ID's in 1.7, only names so using item ID's for anything isn't going to work...

Also I think NEI has a server side part that gives items so the server might have to have Forge and NEI installed on it to spawn items in, client side will only give recipies(I'm guessing here)

Rawr. Hey everyone here is just trying to help you! Maybe they didn't quite understand what you said! Not everyone is thinking the exact same thing as you as for the OP I have no clue how to work with 1.7 soo good luck

1. What the fuck is your actual issue??
2. It's a bukkit server, FTB and NEI is Forge so go ask in a bukkit forum where all the mongaloid neanderthals who don't know what a proper mod is hang out

He's just saying that maybe more people on the Bukkit forum have been through this. Not many people here play on Bukkit servers often or know alot about them

Reading again I'm seeing that NEI is sending the wrong command to the server to get the item you're trying to spawn in... This is most likely because the server is a Bukkit server, NEI is a Forge mod. Therefore it is highly likely that it needs a server side Forge installed to spawn in items. If there is no NEI and Forge server side it isn't going to work

ok now at least you're getting somewhere, i changed it to use the proper command (/i [ITEM] [AMOUNT]) the only thing is its sending incorrect names, i want it to either use the api from the /i command, or to use item id's, is there a way to make it use item ids from the older versions like 1.5 is my question.
