Can't find any challenging servers that are worthy. Looking for help.

I'm just really interested in playing challenging and enduring minecraft which means gregtech for sure. I've had my eye on unhinged modpack, but there really is never any decent servers. I am US west. I don't really want a huge server because they generally have major perks disabled such as Mystcraft. I'm more interested in finding people to hang out with and actually experience the game with. Now, if I wasn't in the dumps I'd just get my own server and help out the community by providing such a server. I've constantly browsed whitelist server postings for anything good, but can't seem to find anything.

Does anybody have any suggestions? I guess my next move is to just run a server on ramdisk for myself until I can afford an actual server and find other people. The reason I'm interested in this is because I enjoy playing minecraft and I have periods where I take a break from the main things I stream. I don't even care if its a server that is hardcore mode. I just want something challenging and won't get old and completed after a few days. Please suggest any whitelist servers that may work for me that I can work on applying to since there seems to be absolutely nothing for unhinged.

Well the reason I joined the server I did was for that exact reason. The server is hosted in Australia but many people from the US play on it anyways. It is Unleashed with GregTech added. EE3 and DartCraft are removed. Info about the server is in my signature.

However Mystcraft is disabled, the main reason is because right now it is causing a lot of problems, not lag but quite a lot of crashes. We only have a Mining age which gets reset every month. The mining age is just a standard age, no dense ores. The only reason we have it is because quarries are banned in the overworked because of the ugly holes they make. They are allowed in the mining age though.

Regarding server population, there is about 50 active members but there is usually 4 - 15 people on at once. The server is whitelisted so it gets rid of all the griefers, and to get in you must be 15 years or older

Unleashed = not challenging
Unhinged = not challenging
Magic Farm = challenging

Reaching "end game" in Unleashed is about 3-4 days
Reaching "end game" in Unhinged is about tedious
Reaching "end game" in Magic Farm is ... dunno after 7 days I'm nowhere near.
