Anyone else have this problem? I've run at least 20 blitz bees thru my isolator now and no blinding speed shows up in the serum vials. Direwolf20 pack version 16 on a SMP server.

I bred the bee just fine. I did put max fertility, flowers and none effect on them to breed drones for isolating the blinding speed trait. That shouldn't mess with the production speed, it shows as "blinding" in my beealyzer, but from what I'm seeing in the drone breeding apiary, "blinding" is most certainly not what I would use to describe these blitz bees. They seem slow actually, really slow. What's going on here?

Before I run 10 stacks of bees thru this thing in vain, is there a bug or a conflict I should know about? Do any of you know of one?

I have a feeling its the version 16 the server is still running (pack is up to v19 now?). I dunno, it's not my server. I know these blitz bees are new, just added, so conflict is prob the issue.

I'm not too certain, but is blinding speed a 'normal' trait from forestry? If it isn't then it may not work with the isolater.

Ps - by normal I mean in standard forestry, the only ones I have seen normally are slow, normal, fast, fastest etc.

Blinding speed was added by magic Bees, the serums and machines by Extra Bees, it needed the serum coding in but instead Myst (Magic Bee modder) removed the blitz bee itself in a later version.

It's a brand new bee added by Magic Bees mod according to the FTB wiki page for production speed so yeah it must be something like that.

My only surprise is that there are no reports to be found of this? How can I possibly be the first person to breed blitz bees in Direwolf and realize there is a problem? More likely, this is a problem unique to me, and other people aren't having this issue. I'd love to hear a report from someone saying "I haven't had any problems with blinding speed trait" cause then I'd know.[DOUBLEPOST=1397071100][/DOUBLEPOST]

Aha. Well thanks for this report because after many many bees it is clear I will never have the blinding speed trait. I will use Aura Bee with the fastest speed trait instead.

I found it rather amusing (and indicative of the biggest problem with the "modding community") that a mod added a trait that went beyond someone else's mod that already had a trait called "fastest". I even remarked to my fellow players on my server how odd it was, how can you have a speed higher than "fastest"? It was really just silly. :) Glad they got rid of it actually.

P.S. Can someone please update the FTB wiki for this issue so other people aren't confused by it? I have never done anything with the wiki otherwise I'd do it myself but I'm not getting involved with it.

We're working on updating the wiki currently, I'll make sure that page and mod get updated when we get the chance.

Its always the username thing with all these wikis. Can I use the username and account for the forums also for the wiki as well? Also, I've never edited a wiki in my life and I wouldn't even know where to begin, I know people get uptight about stuff so I always just figure (probably like most people) that I shouldn't even get involved in it.

Also, just thinking about it, I wouldn't ever update a wiki in a case like this where I'm not even sure we have the correct answer or not yet.

The account is separate from the forums, but you can use the same exact username (as I have done). And with the wiki editing, so long as you follow the guidelines here everything is good with editing. When in doubt, look at similar pages to see how to go about doing everything, that's how I've mostly learned in the past month or so while working on the wiki.

In this case, it'd more than likely be a simply delete of a few lines (assuming all of this info is correct, I know nothing about bees).
