Can't connect to my friend's server

Hi there,

As the title says, I can't log on my friend's server. I've seen many issues about updating servers and downloading mods, but no one saying it's impossible to connect to a server. So, I've tried deleting the portal gun mod and creating a FTB file in my C:, as it was suggested in some other posts concerning servers, but I still can't.

My friend can connect on his server, but I can't, and we have the same setting. Any idea?

what i would say is to have your friend give you the config folder then you can place all of the config files in to your config folder
if that fails try to re download the mod pack.

This isn't the solution.

The solution is that when this post came out, FTB decided it would be funny to release modpack builds that didn't match the server builds. Hence chaos.

This issue has long since been resolved with releases of stable builds on both sides. (Although they still haven't managed to fix the mismatching config bugs yet. Oh dear.)
