So... I really don't understand what the red/orange and blue mean and what they do, can someone explain them for me :D

Input and output. If you look at the red part, it makes a little arrow that either points at what the conduit is connected to (blue) or away from it (orange). That's the direction the energy can flow. So if you're hooking it up to an energy source (engine) you want it to be pointing away. If you're hooking it up to a machine that needs power, you want it pointing towards. If it's something like an energy cell that can receive or transmit power, you can control whether it's an input or output to suit your needs. If you're used to using conductive pipes, think of the orange one as being like a wooden pipe, and the blue one as being like a golden pipe.

But before when i used them they worked when i had them all blue, inputs and outputs. So is there really a reason to do it?

It depends on what they're attached to. Some things will override the blue/orange setting (mainly engines, I believe, but I'm not sure if it's all engines, or just engines from specific mods), others won't (redstone energy cells, for example, won't - you can only put energy into one through a blue, and take it out through an orange).

Is the connector to the tesseract blue? And is the tesserect getting powered by the redstone current? If so, you should set it to ignore redstone current (one of the tabs in the tesseract)

The tesseract at the quarry won't output energy to your quarry, since it is send to receive only.
The middle one should work, if the connecting conduit is wrenched to orange mode.

the conduits going out of the tesseract are wrong, they are supposed to be orange.

The tesseract at the quarry won't output energy to your quarry, since it is send to receive only.

receive only is that it receives via the 4th dimension (the teleportation part) not that it won't output to conduits

Ah thanks, I derped that totally. I thought, that this send/receive was relative to the connection to the outside world and not relative to the tesseract network.
Then you will have to set the tesseract, which receives the initial energy from your engines via a blue conduit, to "send only" and the tesseracts which deliver energy to your machines via orange conduits to "receive only".
