I was just wondering if I could take GregTech out of the Ultimate pack without corrupting any recipes or mods.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, just about any mod can easily be removed from the FTB Launcher, that is sort of the point of the whole system. But why would you want to take something like GregTech out? The game is hardly with playing without it.

It's good to remove it if the player is new to modded minecraft. it can get confusing to read a wiki on how a mod works and then find that the recopies are all different. Wouldn't be that big of an issue if Gregtech had better documentation so that new players can find out what was changed.

yes, gregtech biggest pluspoint is also it's bad point, that it updates often.
it gets new content really fast, but because of that the documentation is really lacking.

Agreed. I'll say this the amount of new stuff added has been quite considerable since I was introduced to it in November compared to now. I currently don't use it since I'm running a sort of Magic/Steampunk pack. I fully plan to tackle Greg and his tech in a more tech themed pack like Ultimate soon.

Ahh, good points. I forget what it means to be new to modded MineCraft some times. I've been playing so long vanilla to me means BC and IC2. Though I've never really found it difficult to find documentation about Greg's stuff. He has much better in game information than most other mods, and the 'unofficial' wiki seems to keep up quite well. Every time I stumble across a new GT machine and wonder what it does I look in the wiki and always find out oh, it does one thing that this other machine used to do and that's it for now...

For those who don't like earlygame GT changes, I'd like to suggest Velocitan's easymode Gregtech config. It fixes all those without leaving a bunch of pockets of air underground and lets you still make Gregtech machines and power sources, a lot of which are pretty bleeping amazing.
