can i delete a chunk and reload it

heres the issue we had a explosion and it some how corrupted the gold transport and liquid piping at my quarrys and im unable to go near the quarrys without the server crashing so i as can i target the whole chunk and delete it so i can get rid of this crash? i tried disabling buildcraft and that didnt work cause the server wont start up without it.

Maybe, but it would also get rid of all the pipes and other objects in said chunk. Before you do that backup the save then check the error log for this phrase 'Block location: (x, z, y)' or something like that. That is the block causing the error, since you are already going to use MCEdit try removing that block first. If you are unsure of which block post a link to the pastebin.com of your log and I will see if it says a particular block. Hopefully, maybe, it can be solved without deleting anything. Look here for more info about the logs. I will try to see what my Googling finds if it is not a particular block.
