So im having items, which are practically the same. Tin ingot or tin or another tin ingots. Same with copper, lead.. I would like to store them into barrels, but they does not stack.. I found 1 item that can do the job - Forge Lexicon. But that item is too manual.. Is there some automatic way to do this? I am playing Ultimate pack.

Lexicon should have a block form.

Gregtech electric crafting table should convert most to a common variant.

Gregtechs default config should set most machines to output the same type of ingots. That might just be TE and IC2 machines though.

In ultimate mod pack, there is no Lexicon in block form. I did found recepie in wiki tried but no luck there. Gonna try Unifier.
And while i was checking Lexicon, found that Shiny ingot == platinum ingot. Is that really the same?

Is there any way to make it so all ingots are automatically made as one type? If not, why not? Is it a problem with the forge dictionary?

Generally, when you smelt a certain mod's Copper Ore, you get that own mod's Copper. Why it doesn't just generate "the first copper ingot in the ore dictionary," I don't know, but the only exception I know about is "Vanilla" IC2's Silver Dust.

Would be really helpful with storage and everything if there was just 1 ore.. or we only had ingots and not the other kind.

as long as you process items in only IC2 or TE machines you will only get 1 types of ingot you may get IC2 ingots from dungeons

If you run the non-matching ingots through your processing system, it should fix the problem. Generally when I come across non-matching ingots (like the copper/tin that you find in chests) I just dump them in to my pulverizer/furnace set up and it corrects the problem. If you wish to use the lexicon, there is a block form for it, and it is available in ultimate. Use nei to search for the Mystical Plynth. Yeah, not sure why its called that but that is the block you are looking for. Unless you have a specific reason, just running the ingots through your processing system should solve your problem.

You can always slap a GT autocrafting table in unification mode at the beginning/end of your processing chain (depends how you've got it set up) to unify everything automatically.

GregTech unifies machine output. With that on, the only way to get the "wrong" ingot is from dungeon loot.

The Forge dictionary does not itself provide any functionality to force items to a specific type.
