With all seriousness, maybe their could be a rare/extremely rare occurrence when jet-fuel will be able to melt Rotary-craft machines, if it was poured on them, as they are constructed mainly of HSLA Steel. This wouldn't work in real life, as steel only melts at around 1370 C, and jet fuel can only get up to 426 C - 815 C, but I could see it as a little funny event and people could probably enjoy the little Easter egg in the mod.
Doing this is a bad idea from both a style and a "making people not hate me" standpoint, and I am not going to do anything to make certain idiotic fever dreams look plausible.

The fact so many people seem to think it is so easy to end up on that list, for things as minor as this, or asking for pack permission, or requesting a config option, concerns me.
....I was not calling the requester an idiot, I was calling certain ideas - hint hint tinfoil hats hint - idiotic. [Edit because subtlety is apparently incomprehensible: The conspiracy theories are idiotic! Not him!] Which they are and saying so is entirely justified. I am very strongly opposed to the idea, popular as it is, that all stances are at least somewhat valid and deserving of respect - or that in a similar vein, the fact that many people take a criticism of their opinion as a personal attack and respond in kind - and feel it is a major part of the reason many people seem increasingly against the idea of a rational argument.

TBH I , being new here did on this and various other threads get in image of Reika being the talented guy who's pretty much always mad at his fans. Text can be pretty imperfect, but the "for God's sake don't piss Reika off" feeling is in the air. Maybe you're not growling behind the keyboard half as often as we've been lead to believe
You didn't know bout Jet Fuel Melting Steel? It's probably the most common of the 9/11 theories, right behind it being a US government plot to enact the start of the totalitarian state via the PATRIOT Act for their New World Order masters.
Amazing the things you learn and the places you can learn them in, eh?

While I believe this suggestion was offensive just for the sake of being offensive, that's not necessarily what I meant to put on the list. You said yourself, this idea is sure to make people hate you more than they already do. People shouldn't suggest things to you that will just generate more hate.

Aye. In my experience, Reika's a perfectly reasonable guy, so long as you're reasonable with him, as well. The only times I've seen him come off as abrasive is when someone else was abrasive, first. That he has such a bad rep (for what I view as...less than good reasons) really speaks more about the community and its numerous problems than it does him.
So question for anybody who reads this thread, there's a really weird bug I encountered that seems to be OS specific. If anyone else uses a mac could you test an instance with just Dragon API and RotaryCraft? When I do it all the fonts and vanilla textures are totally screwy so if the main menu of the game loads and the text is all readable it's not happening for you, no need to even start a world. If anyone uses linux variants it could also be worth checking there, I've just used OS X Yosemite and Windows 8.1 for my tests.
Just asking to try and figure out if it's os based or hardware based, I've got a high end macbook pro for hardware just as an aside.

I'm running OSX 10.10.4 Yosemite and Java 1.7.0_71 (I think... OSX is confusing when it comes to Java), and decided to test this out. I installed Forge 1448 (currently recommended, according to MultiMC) and DragonAPI and RotaryCraft v7f in a clean 1.7.10 instance, and this happened:
Not all the textures are broken. Most of the items seem to be fine, as are some vanilla blocks, like grass, wood, and leaves. Most RoC blocks are fine, save the non-lapis pipes (while in the inventory, at least- the gray one I placed down looks OK even though its texture in my inventory is broken).
Interestingly, the effects of removing RoC from the instance are even weirder. All the text is just gone. All of the textures in-game seem to be fixed, with the notable exceptions of wool and carpet.
My next test was to add ChromatiCraft, since I know it does weird things to text (i.e. turning some things into runes before you've discovered them). The results? Even worse than with RoC, and much worse than just DragonAPI.
Text is just as broken as in the RoC screenshot, with the exception of that in the ChC info HUD thingy. The only things that aren't broken are animations, items, blocks with color filters applied to them (like the crystals- though do note that the filter is applied to a broken texture), and a very few other blocks such as chests. Even grass and wood are broken, which they weren't in the RoC test. Also, the runes in item tooltips look fine- it's just the characters used in vanilla that are whitish boxes.
My guess as to the cause of this is that one of Reika's mods uses a rendering or texturing hook that DragonAPI tried to create via ASM, but botched somehow. So what mod or mods might use said hook? LegacyCraft, maybe?
Looks very much like DragonAPI alone, except text is whitish boxes, not... nothing.
As I was looking at MultiMC's log while this test instance was loading up, I noticed a few things that I don't recall seeing in MC logfiles before, so I pastebinned it.
I seriously hope this gets fixed... is there any other combination of mods you'd like me to try, or other logs to upload?

First, try this test: Use just forge, and no mods at all. See if your main menu is screwy.
If it is, go into the forge config file, and turn off the splash screen (Sorry, I don't recall what the name of the setting is).
I had to do this in order to get forge to run at all for me -- the splash screen with the anvil hammering and progress report of the mods loading and initializing is nice, but it causes font issues.

Huh. Forge 1448 alone breaks all the text, just like most of the screenshots in my previous post. So maybe this isn't Reika's fault at all...
Forge 1492, the Latest version at the moment, also breaks the text. However, it's just white boxes this time, no randomness at all.
I'll make sure to double check in a few hours as I can't remember just forge, I know in the process of testing several things including Java 6, 7, and 8 and which combinations cause it that it was definitely linked to RotaryCraft though, removing it would totally consistently at least fix the main menu text, I didn't actually check in a world always, part of the issue with having to restart 20 times and all. The other thing that's worth noting is while running Java 8 adding Thermal Foundation fixed the text, also for anyone checking MultiMC will tell you your Java version in settings, hit auto-detect and it will list all the versions you have and let you choose who jt to use.
Just a quick question, I've recently started up rotary craft again in my new world. Started up my fermenters and they're going through stacks of items in seconds....while being powered by a DC engine....has there been a dramatic change in this mechanic in version 7 or is this a bug?
