first I start with saying that end game for me is have infinite resources and nothing to do with them.

I started a DW20 world (without IC2, xycraft, ee, factorization, and reliquary) and after like 3 days I have infinite biomass, charcoal, energy, steam, a quarry at max speed and a crapload of resources, now I don't have anything to do with them (that has a point, I don't do stuff that is pointless) and I feel I reached end game, I killed the enderdragon the first day, finished thaumcraft in the second, I have 25 nether stars, a 5 beacon pyramid, and really nothing to do.

now with ic2 there is no difference, as soon as I have a lot of resources that are just sitting in barrels, I don't need anything else, since thats my endgame. And gregtech just makes me to get to end game in like a week instead of 3 days.

neither doing a quarry frame, galardron drill, forestry farm is useful, is just pointless, waste 10% of resources to make something that gives you 200% of what you have.

or do pointless stuff, like have the base in a frame ship, or doing trains sorting systems, that is just pointless, and I dont do stuff that is pointless.

any ideas?

The whole point of minecraft is that there really is no point. You have to build stuff because you want to, not just to get to some high tier. Build something complex, even if it only slows you down by a day. Build something you are proud of. I, for instance, may have "infinite" resources, but I try to go for some higher goal, such as build the best bees, go for an autocrafter in Redpower, or things like that.

Don't just play to beat the game, play to make the game your, I mean ... play for fun!

I'd recommend just taking a break, play some other stuff, wait for a bunch of mods to update/ be added so you can return to a lot of new stuff.
Unfortunately, if you're burned out, you're burned out.

Alternatively, you could start playing worlds in Hardcore difficulty or Adventure mode/ maps or maybe join some servers.

well, for me fun is actually beating the game, and boring is doing stuff for the sake of wasting time.[DOUBLEPOST=1362917452][/DOUBLEPOST]

burned out is just in FTB, vanilla I have no problem, because stuff there is harder.

You've been given the best lego set ever, and all of the mods just give you tools to let you build more cool things. The point of the game is not resource collection, but project completion. Build a biofuel plant that produces enough EU to output 1 UU Matter per second. Spread your base out and connect it by a high-speed interdimensional rail network. Breed every bee species in Forestry, Extra Bees, and Thaumic Bees. Build a moon base (you'll need to build a moon first). Construct an underwater animal habitat. Collect a Tier 5 soul shard of every mob type (including witch). Make a 'hall of completion' and fill it with item frames, with a frame containing one of every single block and item available to your modpack, in order of block / item ID. Start over in Hardcore mode on Hard difficulty and challenge yourself to get back to your current state without using IC2 armors.

It's a sandbox game, we make our own challenges. There's no real way to 'win' or 'beat' this game.

well, people can change, I might try gregtech when I think this current world has reached its end.

oh, and I love thaumcraft, I have finished the research tree 4 times.

and bees, I like them but is use resources to create a way to get even more resources... that you have no use for them.

The survival is what it is, it adds restraints and a progression path which for me (and I assume a lot here) adds fun to the game. Not having everything creative mode straight off.

If you don't like the creative mode style though, you really did pick up the wrong game... also if mods trivialize the things you enjoy just don't use mods and play vanilla, for what it's worth.

where is the progression path if I have everythin after 3-4 days?

and thats why, since I don't like creative, when I have eveything I feel like in creative mode.

3-4 days is a very inexact measurement. How many hours are you playing those days? I imagine it's easy if you've practiced and refined your play efficiency. I know that I don't hit infinite everything in three to four days, and I probably game more than the average player. I'm sure I could play more efficiently, but I don't play minecraft as an efficiency test, I play it to have fun.

well, like 6 hours? not like I can get full iron armor and tools before the first night in vanilla or anything...

of course, after the iron armor I go really slow.

as I said above, I don't do stuff that are pointless.

LOL then you picked THE WRONG game my friend.. The is no "point" of minecraft its a "Sandbox" game.. THe point is to do whatever you want in the game and have fun doing it.. Whats fun for me in ftb is to challenge myself to build more complicated contraptions and I'm also really getting into learning Lua from using computercraft.

Plan out a new awesome and efficient base which will make your life easier like a factory . The only time when I feel I will be finished is when I have a room full of gregtech batteries. Also something that might slow you down next time would be a mod called terrafirmacraft.
