Hi,

I have just started a new world with a custom mod pack that I created based off of FTB Lite and I am now trying to get some fuel.

I have a barrel of Oil and I am trying to pump it into the refinery however it will not accept the oil. I have used thermal dynamics pipes and extra utilities pipes and the refinery just refuses to accept to the oil.

I'm fairly new to modded minecraft. Does anyone know what would be causing this?

Thanks

2 things:

1. BC machines are I-sided. This means that WHERE you put the fluids in matter as much as what fluids go in. For a refinery the best location is at the back, where the two tanks are.

2. Each of those piping systems need an active extraction method as barrels will not pump out on their own. For TE pipes you need a servo attached at the barrel end and it either configured to ignore redstone or have a redstone signal next to it such as a lever. For the ExU pipes, you need a transfer node with at least one World interaction upgrade installed into it at the barrel end. For the best bet, put the extraction method on the bottom of the barrel.

I have got the servos installed and I can see oil in the pipe but it won't go into the back of the refinery. I should probably add that the setup I have works in my client but won't work in the server. I am running the server separately and I am connecting to 127.0.0.1

Thanks for the quick reply.

Hmm, I can't think of anything that matches that apart from a sync issue. Unfortunately that's outside my field of knowledge.

Fluid Transfer Nodes don't need World Interaction to pull from a tank. (Such as a barrel.)

Try putting a bucket of oil in manually by right clicking on the refinery.

If that doesn't work, it's possible something has gone wrong with the fluid registry and Buildcraft doesn't realize that it's oil. I presume you have only one mod that add's oil?

I decided to delete the world and start a fresh server. It all works now so I can only guess that something happened with the mods that broke something.
