FTB Launcher version: 0.3.1

Minecraft Version: 1.4.2

Java version: 1.7.0_09

Detailed description of the issue / how can the issue be recreated: Buildcraft Builder crashes game when trying to place blocks (I had Smooth stone only in the builder), game crashes whenever you try and load the world the builder is active in.

The builder was ok removing blocks but as soon as it tried to place them the game crashed.

Error logs: http://pastebin.com/PqT18RMT

Edit - Windows 7 x64

Cheers

Second! I encountered the same issue, I run my server under linux and in a screen session, I can not scroll back to the error message but it was the same java exception output as Kelvin posted. please fix this.

Did you use a template or blueprint? My test with a BP worked fine.

Also, not sure if its been fixed yet, but dont include diamond pipes. I had this issue with a previous version when my bp included a diamond pipe.

The easiest way I found to get access back to your world is just change the block ID of the builder. This will delete the builder. You can then change it back to the original id.

Template, and I restarted the server and logged in quickly so I could break the builder, the world is safe. there were no pipes included, we stripped the design and tried it with the simplest design with a new template. same problem. I basically want to replicate a tower for my castle three times, and hopefully be able to rotate them before they get built by the builder, is all this possible some other way?

Use a blueprint instead of template. Youll need to use the same blocks as the original, but it should work fine.

Yes, it worked! for a little while, then it stopped placing, and the robot just hovers and moves slightly. the builder still has plenty of items to place and the engines are running.

CovertJaguar (the modder of BC) said don't use the Builder if you value your world, it's very broken.

I have an automatic backupscript running every 2 days, so if the world should totally break down due to a buggy mod I would be able to roll back and save it. the builder correctly built the first floor of the tower at least, better than nothing

Yeah i used a blank template, I switched to blueprints and has been working fine for many builds. Thanks
