I've designed and made many transport pipe systems, so I don't leak. That is not the problem.

In a basic quarry system, for example, the pipes lead from the top of the quarry to a box. Simple. Out of the top, over two, down to the box.

This system leaks. Everywhere. I leave the area for 15 minutes, come back to find STACKS laying all over the place.

"ARG, YOU IDIOTZ!!!! IT BE OVERFLOWIN NOOB!!"

No. It has one stack of dirt lying in the chest, 200 stacks on the ground.

I've converted all my pipes to pneumatic tube systems. Interesting to learn by the way, and it broke my heart to abandon my love, my future marriage partner: the transport pipes.

HOWEVER!!!!!! Beecraft will NOT use pneumatic pipes, so I'm screwed. I went to use my beloved transport pipes, and they are squirting stuff again more often than Bill Clinton on a hot date with Monica Lewinski during a business call to the Prime Minister of Israel.

I am using the Mindcrack pack. Is anyone else on any other servers experiencing this problem? I know that it's not limited to just me, I've witnessed everyone that is using transport pipes spraying chunks more often than a drunk guy at a frat party with a batch of moonshine made from the finest cow dung.

Thanks again for your input.

When you say from the quarry to a box what do you mean by box? Do you mean a chest or barrel?

Your pipe system may not be in a loaded chunk. If that is the case then I THINK (could be wrong) that the items from the quarry are entering an unloaded chunk when you are gone causing the problem. Try adding a chunk loader by the chest. Chicken chunks Chunk loader allows you to determine exactly what chunks stay loaded. The quarry will keep itself loaded as long as it is a buildcraft quarry.

Also, what kind of pipes are you using? If it is Iron pipes you may not have them set up properly and they get stuck in the pipe, causing them to eventually pop off. Use gold, or better yet....

My 2c: if it is a chest (large, like diamond, or ender, where you suck items up at HQ) then just place it directly on top of the quarry and forget about the pipes ;)

This may be the culprit, but doubtful. On two occasions I was standing next them then humming the Batman theme when ***FWOOOOSH*** out shot items on a sharp 45 degree turn. Not iron pipes, either, those were basic cobblestones.[DOUBLEPOST=1359587650][/DOUBLEPOST]

***GASP*** WHAT DOTH THOU ACCUSE ME OF!??!?! Iron pipe mismanagement!?!?!? Will NEVER happen!!!!

When I was using those faulty piece of donkey kong dung pipes, I was using golden for speed, iron for splits, and stone for speed (cobblestones are so slow, makes my brain hurt.). I actually have a setup now with an aviary where crap will shoot out of whatever pipe it's in when it approaches a turn, almost like a potato gun. Seriously, went through my windows and knocked out some innocent creeper just walking by.

I'd to chime in, I've seen this happen with my Quarry system as well. Right out of the quarry I have a diamond pipe that splits stuff between a chest and several void pipes and I regularly arrive to see items laying on the ground.

I also have a bunch of pulverizers and powered furnaces output to a pipe system that goes to a diamond chest and while standing right next to it I can see stuff disappear. Normally I would assume it was a display bug, but when suddenly none of my smooth stone makes it to the chest I start to assume some things. The chest isn't close to full, and I can stand right next to it for a half hour and no stone will make it. I can see it, I can see it, and then suddenly over 3 pipes all of it disappears. Out of 200 cobble inputted not 1 block of smooth made it through.

Morberis, ****massive hugs****.

I have searched both high and low all over the internetz, and have yet to see this kind of error reported. I think people are afraid of being ridiculed. I am SO glad to see someone else that has the same issue.

I have seen many super servers threaten to ban people over using ANY transport pipes in FTB mod packs, so this is a known bug to us server operators, but apparently it is an unspoken bug.

Verily, doth no one have an answer to this most vexing issue? Whatfore doth these yon forum pages exist, 'cept to aid the weary soul in the ne'er ending search of platitudes and relief of the weary soul in the search for answers to yon meaning of life?

Pray tell, answer this forlorn question.

This isn't actually a bug, it's a feature of BuildCraft. :(

So long as an item thinks it has nowhere to go, it'll get spat out by the pipe. To fix this you will need a default route for your items to take.

Default, you say? How would you define a default route? Wouldn't straight from the quarry directly into a crate 3 blocks away be a direct route?

..."crate"?

Are you trying to feed items into the side of a Barrel? They don't accept input from the side unless you force it and even then only a single stack can be stored that way instead of 64+. Barrel input is on the top only, and the output is at the bottom.

Vel, thank you very much for your responses, but many of the questions that you are asking me have already been answered above you. But I shall answer again.

It is not a barrel. Barrels can only accept input from top and send out from bottom. It is a crate/box/chest/etc to which I am referring.

Right, gotcha. Re-read the thread to confirm everything. Then that is a bit odd indeed. Would you care to show us an example of your output system? Stuff like this tends to be caused by a very basic oversight somewhere.

It could be a bug, but I'd prefer to rule out human error first. ;)

Vel, I ripped out those pipes long ago. If you would like, I could invite you onto our server and you could see these wonderful pipes in action after I rebuild them.=D

It's a simple system, really. Top of quarry to chest.

I've long ago abandoned them in favor of ender chest to Pneumatic pipe sorting system, but I still have ruins of an old quarry that I never tore down since I'll never be using the pipes again.
