Bugged MFR Laser? (DW20 1.25)

Here are some screenshots. It will not drill. I had the shaft going to bedrock but now it goes to the void. I get the pulse when placed. Every time I place it, I will occasionally see some work started, but that is short lived. I have tried breaking everything and replacing it. The two tesseracts that are attached are fed by a single tesseract with 4 RF connections. I know that my power system is up to speed as I can drain 125k RF/t.

Suggestions?

Well it seems based of the picture that the laser drill can't reach the ground since it has no laser coming out from the bottom. Are you positive nothing is in its way to bedrock?

Oh what a stupid derp. I left a portal just above bedrock.
